Niall was a great host. Excellent communication upfront, lots of good local knowledge while we were there and organised a taxi to the airport when it was time to leave. And we had free access to his PG Tips which after two weeks of Lipton's Yellow Label was a blessed relief!
We used both rooms during our stay - neither have external windows but both have good air con and fans so didn't feel claustrophobic. The Ensuite room was quieter and more private as it's away at the back of the apartment; the Double is just off the main living area so a bit more in the thick of it. Both were good tho with large comfy beds. The kitchen and bathrooms were all modern and well equipped (great showers), the apartment was clean with no unexpected animal or insect life (the cleaner came in every day), and the wifi was better than we get at home. Didn't try the TV but it looked impressive. Location is great, easy to find, well placed for bars/restaurants and sight seeing, and right on the riverfront (the usual walk down a shared alleyway to get to the front door but it didn't feel at all unsafe) with a lovely balcony to sit out and watch the world go by. With the building work, night club and general traffic noise, I can't say its the quietest place I've stayed but that's Phnom Penh for you, and none of the above bothered us much (and I'm a light sleeper).
Niall was an excellent host. All instructions were clear on how to navigate to the apartment and meet the host for the handover. The host was just one street away if you need anything. (He owns a cinema cum cafe) The apartment was spacious, clean and well worth the money paid. 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms and 1 additional bedroom. Wonderful river view and restaurants are within walking distance. Will certainly come again if i am in Phnom Penh.
Niall and his partner stayed with us in Bruges. Super friendly and easy going airbnbr's! Totally recommended and welcome back anytime!
Niall and his friend are great guest, i was happy to meet them and hope i can visit their wonderfull restaurant & cinéma in Vietnam !
They are very respectful with the apartment and amenities, friendly and warmful, i wish i could host them again.
We enjoyed a lot the stay of Niall and his friend! Didn't have possibility to spend more time with them as they stayed only 1 night, but everything went smoothly! Place was in a perfect condition after they left! shortly - sincerely to recommend!
Nyal and his friend is very nice, respectful, friendly person. Very comfortable to talk to. Cleanly and does not cause concern. I recommend them as the expected guests who do not make problems.
Hi to them from me if they will come to you!
I met Niall several years ago in our (website hidden) days. He routinely goes out of his way to help travelers (including me) with everything from a restaurant recommendation to major medical help. Niall is thoughtful, funny, and a great conversationalist, and Veasna is kind, open, and an awesome cook. I'd welcome them into my home any time, and I'd suggest you do the same if you get the chance.
Niall stayed at my villa in Ubud, Bali, and was the consummate guest. Polite and engaging, he knows how to be a proper guest. He works in the hospitality industry, and, as such, has the manner of someone who's routinely around new people. Highly recommended.
I stayed with Niall for a month as a volunteer at The Empire. It was a wonderful time! I couldn't ask for a better host--he helped me extend my visa, took me out on the town with friends, and I always felt really included like I was immediately a part of the family! As an expat, he knows what the needs are of people visiting from other countries and has all the info you could possibly need, but also knows PP like a local. It's a perfect mix of local and expat life.
