Wendy was great! She gave us a beautiful tour of the salt marsh and the paths in the woods (would have been nice to walk around had it not been for the frigid temperature) , helped us start a fire, and was an all around gracious host. We wanted a place to cook a dinner and enjoy the new year and this place provided us with everything we needed. Surprisingly well stocked kitchen, ample room to eat and hang out, and a cozy ambiance. We will definitely consider coming back!
We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Wendy and Dean were gracious hosts, and provided so many amenities throughout the home. We loved the obvious love of nature and art. The outdoor setting was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Waking up to that October morning was just wonderful. Next time, a longer stay!
Eco-paradise – indeed! This wonderful home in Kittery, Maine is a peaceful oasis along a forest preserve! They home is spacious with numerous sleeping possibilities. There is a central meeting area for all with terrific Internet Wi-Fi. Numerous windows let lovely sunshine into every room. Radiant heating in the floor is great for those cooler days.
The place was fantastic. Very clean and gorgeous views. The location is great to go up and down the Maine coast or to relax and enjoy the local views. Deane's wife gave us an excellent recommendation for a local restaurant, The Black Birch. I would hope to come back to this area again and stay at this place if it was available.
We spent two nights in EcoParadise - I would say that our stay with Wendy and Deane was the vacation, and the extra bonus was the time spent in Kittery. Lovely family, lovely property, great apartment to come "home" to after a few hours of sightseeing, great to have a fully stocked kitchen if you want to have dinner in. We loved the gazebo, and everything about our stay was comfortable. We felt so welcome, highly recommended!
The apartment was wonderful, and the location and property are fantastic. We did not meet Deane, but his wife Wendy (and daughter) were very hospitable and welcoming. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for someplace quiet and peaceful, but accessible to southern Maine attractions.
Deane and Wendy are very warm welcoming people. Their piece of property is like its own world apart, surrounded by a wildlife refuge, distant from all the traffic and hubbub of the tourist trade... They took care of everything and nothing was left undone. Their apartment is spacious and perfectly appointed. More than roomy... great for a romantic getaway or for a couple with kids... I hope to return someday during fall colors.
This is an amazing place to stay! The apartment is comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. Driving into Portsmouth, NH, was easy and old Kittery proved a gem of dining delights. Couldn't have asked for better.
We had a wonderful week at Eco Paradise. Kittery is beautiful. Deane and Wendy were lovely and they live right next door if you need anything. The property is so peaceful and relaxing. Which is just what our family needed. We visited the beaches, hiked the salt marshes, and the forts in Kittery were really interesting. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Deane and Wendy for your gracious hospitality and generous sharing of your beautiful paradise.
thanks, anytime. It was great to have you.
We had a wonderful stay at Deane place. They made it very simple to check in and out. The accommodations are cute and comfortable and the land is beautiful. I especially loved reading in the gazebo. It was very relaxing. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
