Some people will just complain about anything. Here is a new one: in a review from a recent guest, she complained that our hangers need updating. Can some one please tell me, what is an updated hanger?

***We have been airbnb hosts now for nearly a year. We have had mostly extremely pleasant experiences. In the past few weeks, we have hosted a few people who would have been better served by a hotel. Here are a few things you should know: This is our house. We are sharing it with you, but we are not your servants. We will not be ordered to carry your luggage, or to make your bed during your stay. We do not offer room service, but you are welcome to come down and join us in the kitchen. You will not find a TV in your room. In fact, you will not find a TV in our whole house! What you will find is a friendly couple who is willing to share their home and a cup of coffee and friendly conversation.***

We have lived in Providence for 5 years and I never thought I would like it as much as I do. It is a great walking city, but you can borrow one of our bikes if you'd rather ride. There is lots of good outdoor space. Our neighborhood is very green and full of flowers. I can see the ocean (well the Narragansett Bay) every day, a short walk or drive away. The food scene here is varied, plentiful and affordable. I can offer suggestions. It is very easy to be a vegetarian. We belong to a CSA so we get fresh fruit and vegetables every week to add to what we grow in pots on our terrace. I love living walking distance to Brown University. During the school year there are always fun things going on. On the weekends there are often street festivals or markets or celebrations downtown. I can point you in the right direction. If it is a rainy day, the RISD museum is a favorite.
