I am very enthusiastic to share Salt Spring Island - our piece of paradise - with many travelers from around the world!
I enjoyed my recent stay at the Sunnyside Suite immensely.
Janet's home in Ganges is a little piece of paradise, with full use of hot tub, fire pit, and a backyard porch very true to the name 'sunnyside' (especially with that morning cup of coffee). On top of that, you could not ask for a more accommodating host. It's obvious that Janet works hard to ensure her guests are well taken care of.
The location is great! In the same daylight hours you can go for a run or hike through quiet dirt roads and green meadows, then head out to the bustling market and explore town, both are within walking distance. The room itself is very comfortable and clean, with amenities thoughtfully arranged for convenience.
I am already looking forward to my inevitable return to Salt Spring and Sunnyside.
My boyfriend and I had wonderful stay at Sunnyside Suite!
We both agreed with that the best thing all over our trip was the hot tub in Janet's place! With the stars in night sky and the sound of insects and frogs, we relaxed in the hot water every night. We even enjoyed the high beam headlamps from cars passing on the road near by picked out dark tall trees dramatically.
The location was pretty convenient for us. We often came back to put our purchase into the fridge after touring around farms or brewery, or take a rest after having meals.
The room was pretty cozy, well-designed and very clean. I had good sleep every night in the quiet nature unlike hectic Vancouver downtown where I live :P
It was great staying at the Sunny Side Suite in Salt Spring. Although very small, it's perfect for one person staying for a week, as I did. Janet was very accommodating, she picked me up from the ferry, gave me directions for getting into town (walking, bus routes, etc), and checked up on me often. We even had wine in her hot tub, and it was wonderful! I'd definitely stay at this place again if I were returning to the island alone.
Janet has a great suite on Saltspring. I really enjoyed my time there and I would stay again.
Janet's place is very good for a single person or couple. The hot tub on the deck is great to relax, even in cold weather. Janet is a very good host, she looks after the minor details in the room, granola, milk, coffee, juice, movies, etc. The room is just adequate with the different feature that the bathroom is open to the bedroom, just have to get used to if you are a couple. Salt Spring is a great place to relax (with no street lights makes driving easy!). We highly recommend this place.
The room is clean and has everything you need for a short stay! I'm glad I got to stay Sunnyside Suite!
I strongly recommend you put your weary self in this host's capable hands. We had that pleasant but surprising feeling of our every need and want being anticipated and arranged for. One or two of many examples: Kimono robes, candles, Riedel glasses.. I could go on but I've got to be concise.
Regarding its compact size, it was interesting to live like that for a couple of days because I'm interested in simplifying, downsizing and tiny houses. I learned I'm comfortable and content in a small space because there's a wonderful world right outside -- starting with Janet's beautiful deck and garden. Inspiring!
The Sunnyside Suite is spotlessly clean, new and comfortable. The jacuzzi is such a bonus as is the proximity to Ganges. The jacuzzi is right outside the door and you can enjoy it in cold (website hidden): staying there without a car: we walked from Janet's to Ganges centre a couple of times, but you have to be careful and pay attention on the road as there aren't really any sidewalks. Therefore nighttime walking is pretty hazardous. We took a cab once at night but I couldn't reach the cab company by phone one time and had to take my chances in the dark. We took the wonderful community transit bus to Fulford to catch the ferry -- just flag it down outside Janet's place --easy!
Thank you, Janet!

We really enjoyed our stay at Janet's. The room is very clean and you can find everything you need. Janet has thought of everything. We would definitely come back next time we are in Salt Spring Island.
We had a wonderful stay in this space. The milk in the fridge, granola and snacks are a wonderful treat and complement a very comfortable and cosy room. Make sure, however, that if you are staying with a partner or friend that you are okay with a bathroom in the same room separated by short wall around a corner. Didn't bother us, but it might bother some. For the price, we couldn't beat the experience and would definitely stay there again!
Had a great stay with my boyfriend. It was nice and cool at night, the hottub was a great treat!
Room is tiny but cozy and has what u need for a short stay. Bathroom is in same room as bedroom but didnt bother us none.
Host is lovely.
