Beautiful, Private, Beach-Side Casita!
Spent a fabulous week, enjoying the casita. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures lead you believe. Very comfortable interior with adequate kitchen, very comfortable bedroom and spacious bathroom, plus the gorgeous pool and rooftop palapa with perfect view of crashing waves on the beach. Ideally set up for a single couple to enjoy as both beds and bathroom access are in the same room. Perfect distance from busier hotels, restaurants, clubs - a long-ish walk, either along the beach or on back streets, or 2 rusty/trusty bikes for faster/easier transit back and forth. 2 minute walk to a very private beach for swimming and watching the sun set.
Cori was very responsive to all requests. Highly recommend it with absolutely no hesitation.

Coris house is well designed with a lot of good details and the pool is great! communication with Cori was easy and she helped perfectly. the bikes are really helpful for getting around as the house is not so central (20min walk to Zicatela beach). thanks for having us!
Cori was very responsive throughout the entire process, from booking to staying at the house. The property is very beautiful, and the house has all of the basics you could need. The pool is amazing and even better than the photos. The pool/property caretaker and the housekeeper were both very sweet and helpful.
If you're planning on staying here, you might want to know:
+ The internet was quite slow, especially uploading. There was enough bandwidth to stream video, but heavy web use was difficult. It's just a fact of the area in PE, and no fault of Cori's.
+ If you plan to rent a car, be advised that some of the local roads are dirt and can be in bad shape, especially after rain. We had difficulty with our rental sedan, but an SUV would be fine. You can certainly walk to many restaurants and the beach, so you may not need a car. Once you've walked the 10 minutes to town, you can easily get a taxi. However, for what it's worth, some locals advised us against walking in our neighborhood after dark.
+ This may be obvious, but the house is in a growing part of Mexico and you'll have to deal with tiny inconveniences. Bugs, quick power outages, and the like, were just part of the experience.
Beautiful house & nice people. Good communication with Cori. Thank you!
We couldn't have asked for more!
The Casita: It was perfectly situated between two of the greatest surf spots, which was important for our trip. We were easily connected to all the area had to offer including beaches, shops, restaurants, bars, and markets. The accommodations were cozy, offered great privacy, and we felt safe. We has all of the amenities one could ask for.
The Host: Cori was great to work with and quick to respond. This was my first airbnb experience and she set the bar high. - Thank you for being so wonderful. Cori. :)
The Area: Many who come here do so to surf. That was partially our story. My guy is a surfer, and I am not....although I did take a wonderful lesson. We prefer to experience the local flair, and that is just what we were able to do. The casita is a little off the beaten path, while still being close to everything. When you are ready to climb out of the pool or able to pry yourself from the hammock, you have the opportunity to enjoy the quite beach "town" of La Punta, the busy surfer vibe in Zicatela, or go local and head to the city center. All things we did during our stay.
Can't wait to come back. :)
We spend a week in Puerto Escondido and stayed at this lovely house with the perfect location just a few steps from zicatela beach. It was perfect for the four of us. It was perfect to move around because we had a car but you can also bike to the town (5 min ride) or walk (20 to 30 min). The house has impeccable style with beautiful architecture details. I think the best feature is the pool and the shaded patio where we relaxed and ate almost every day. I would definitely come back and recommend to everyone.
Cori's house is epic. It's close enough to the the center of town and La Punta, yet secluded enough to feel away from it all. The casita is really well done and looks as good as the pictures. Thanks Cori!
Cori was a wonderful guest and a pleasure to host! Happily recommended as well as welcome back anytime.
Thank you Cori ! You and Your family were very good guests. You were very kind and you've left the apartment very Prop. I can highly recommend Cori as a guest.
