The location and the room are 100% hipster bohemian. Smack dab in the middle of pre-gentrified Sunset Junction. Steve was responsive, fast, and great for my last second booking.
It's charming and real; no frills. Maybe not where you want to take someone used to the Four Seasons, but if you like the real deal, this is it.
Great location, cozy apartment. Steve is very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay! - Ben
Steven was a great host. He granted us access to the building earlier than expected because we had a ton a luggage, which was very helpful. When we got to the apartment, he sat and chatted with us for a while and then gave us a great recommendation for lunch! We had an awesome stay, the space was great and clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and we would love to visit again soon. Thanks Steven!
This was my first time using Airbnb and it was so successful and easy, that I would definitely do it again. Steven is very friendly and laid back and was great at responding to my questions quickly via airbnb messenger.
My boyfriend and I used Steven's place as our resting spot for NYE night. Because it was a holiday, Steven wasn't there for check-in or check-out, but he made it an effortless process regardless by leaving a set of detailed instructions and checking in on us via text.
I really liked the location of his apt and how close it is to a lot of happening spots in that area. His living room window also has an amazing view of the hills!
The apt is situated in a rather old building, so the first thing I noticed upon entering his apt was that old building smell. However, Steven's place was lovely, comfy, and had a lot of character. We ended up making dinner that night. Steven has the bare essentials when it comes to pots and pans, so if you are planning on cooking anything elaborate, be prepared to bring your own stuff (like we did)
I would definitely use Steven again, and recommend him to my friends.
Steve's apartment was a nice place to land for a few nights while in LA. He was a good host and responsive throughout my stay and the location of the apartment is unbeatable. I should mention that this is very much Steve's home and there is no space to hang up or put away clothes. Also sensitive travelers beware: it's a bit dusty and there is the occasional smell of smoke (both kinds) in the building. I did sleep well and I'm pretty easy going so if you can get past all that, it's easy to recommend Steve's place.
Steven was super helpful and clear with communication, and checking in and out was a breeze. The apartment is super centrally located- very nice to be able to walk to things from out your door, which is a bit rare in LA. Lots of nice little side streets and places to explore, great food and coffee. Great spot to set out and explore from!
Steven was a great host! he was so detailed in instructions and so responsive in texts that we were able to check in and check out without meeting at all (which I actually like as an intovert) His place is cozy and has so much character, i will definitely look into staying again if I want to spend the night in silverlake. He is literally across the street from the sunset junction sign and intelligista coffee, of which a trip is essential, especially after night of drinking. He left us a coupon for lyft and I was able to park and forget about my car until I checked out. But even without Lyft, you could easily walk to some awesome places because he's in the middle of everything. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay. As this was my first airbnb experience, I wss a little worried there wouldn't be a hair dryer or enough toilet paper, etc... but he left the place well stocked. I spent the weekend eating and drinking all over dtla and silverlake so I didn't make use of the kitchen but if I were in the mood, i could've whipped something up in steven's kitchen. The stereo is hooked up so you can listen to whatever in the living room or bedroom which was a nice feature. I also loved the chalkboard walls. I regret not leaving a message but I hope to be back and perhaps I'll leave one next time.
Steven was a good host and made sure we had a great stay! His apartment is well located in silver lake literally steps away from cool stores, nice cafes and restaurants and parking is very convenient in the surrounding area.
Location, location, location, as they say, is the best gem of this listing, so if you plan to be (or just want to be) in the heart of the Silverlake area, this is the place; it's at Sunset Junction which is covered better in the description provided above. In addition to host Steven's own description, other guests have accurately posted reviews about this accommodation: cool and cozy place, great views, easy check-in, quick and responsive communications, walking distance and central to a lot of places, easy parking, and quiet. If you book, enjoy the stay!
Host was friendly and worked well with us under last minute circumstances. Location is so great. Apartment is no frills but you'll want to be out walking in Silverlake anyways!
fun friendly talented person , easy to get on with and fun to know .
