I'm from Leiden a city in the Netherlands, between The Hague and Amsterdam. I'm a nurse and working in the home care in Leiden. I like sports as kitesurfing, snowboarding and running. And love to go out with friends and being with my family.

Nice and clean apartment. Walkable distance from central station. Decorated well. Sweet host. Wouldn't hesitate twice.
Thamar's apartment is small but cozy, perfect for one or two people, nicely decorated, very clean, good location on a side pedestrian street, so no noise from main street and 10 minutes to the centre of Leiden. It had pretty much everything I needed for cooking and very stylish kitchenware esp. plates, bowls and cups - which I was a bit afraid not to damage. :D What other guests might be missing is a water boiler and a coffee machine, but since I'm a tea drinker I did fine with the teapot. The only drawback is the building which being an old building, albeit nicely renovated, is not sound proof. This means you need to keep pretty quiet not to disturb the neighbours. If this is not a problem for you, I highly recommend this apartment!
Thamar was a fantastic host. Her home in Leiden is lovely and she was a perfect host.
The property was perfectly located in a quite part of the city in a beautiful location near a canal. I had a couple of early morning walks around the canals which was really beautiful.
The property is around 15 mins brisk walk from the rail station and only 5 minutes from one of the main shopping streets.
If the opportunity arises I would definitely stay with Thamar again and would highly recommend her property for other guests who want to visit Leiden.
Thamar has a modern, tastefully decorated apartment that was perfect for our purposes. We wanted to be in the city centre (in the Grachten) of an idyllic old Netherlands town and that is exactly what we got. Tucked away in a quiet side street you just have to cross one Gracht to be at the end of the shopping street in Leiden and if you follow the Gracht you end up in the city centre in no time. Having a supermarket around the corner was very helpful too.
This cosy apartment has all you need for your stay and is ideal for a single person or a couple. The staircase to the loft space is a bit steep, but perhaps not untypical for the Netherlands. This is just something to be aware of for older visitors or people with limited mobility. Other than that the apartment had everything one could wish for and was clean and tidy. Thamar is a great host and was helpful in many respects.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Thamar's apartment and recommend it warmly.

Its in a good neighbourhood in the centre of town. Go for it :-)
