I am Italian, he is Swedish, we love to travel and will treat your home like we do ours. We are responsible, reliable, and quiet and hope for the same in all who stay and enjoy our home.
Our stay in this adorable 2 story cottage in Williamsburg was wonderful. The cottage is located on a quiet tree-lined street- (right down the road from my two sons making it perfect for us) but a great location for anyone wanting to stay in Williamsburg and close to everything. The L train is a quick two minute walk away. Perfect- especially since we were there at New Years 2013, when 30 degrees was the high.
The cottage was always warm and cozy including the down-comfy bed. The only bathroom is a good size and located on the second floor next to the spacious bedroom. We stayed just shy of a week and we found there was adequate space for our clothing.
My husband appreciated the large screen TV and cable, I the Internet connection and music system. Although we didn't need it this time, they have street parking available, good to know for the future.
The apartment is right down the block from a great wine shop, Vine Wine- and a couple of blocks down on Lorimer, from the best grocery shop, Campbell's Cheese and Grocery. Just written up as one of Food and Wines 9 best new Shops for Foodies! Unbelievably good source, everything we had was delicious! We kept a stash of the goodies at the apt to keep us going. Also, the house is around the corner from all kinds of great restaurants. If you are looking for a local Italian- try Sal's- don't let the Pizza front deter you- Just ask for Romeo and ask about the specials. If you want you can brown bag your wine or favorite beverage.
As far as a great bar- in Brooklyn- The Pine Box- the best, I mean it, Bloody Mary's. Out of Brooklyn- it would have to be the SOHO Club Room in SOHO Grand. It is a gorgeous space in a great area and serves the best cocktails anywhere. The bartender Adam helped to make our experience a memorable one. He is a creative mixologist and we had a great time.
We look forward to returning to Williamsburg, New York and hopefully to the cottage. Wishing all a happy and prosperous New Year!
We need more guests like them, very clean and quiet. Nice people, I would love to have them over again. Thank you guys very much for taking such good care of my apartment.
