I'm a plant science educator and gardener from Ithaca, NY. I like to cook, I'm a foodie and a locavore and when I travel I like to sample what's unique and special in that area. Recently, I've sampled Texas BBQ in Austin (after a morning of cucumber parsley smoothies), raw oysters out of Tamales Bay on the northern coast of CA, fresh crab in Seattle, vegan delights in Portland, OR and chili on spaghetti in Cincinnati . At home I enjoy the weekly bounties of a CSA share and prefer the white wines to the red wines produced in the Finger Lakes. I also dance in every city I visit. Salsa is my favorite, and the flavor in every city, is energizing and always teaches me new things. I recently danced Zydeco in NOLA, and Cuban style salsa in San Francisco. If your city has great food and a vibrant dance scene, I hope to make it there too.
