I love the country and Hospitality industry both! Great food and wine and organic farming. Building green as well.

Ken's "glampground" is phenomenal! Ken is amazing to work with and worked hard for us to be comfortable and have a relaxing weekend to de-stress! He took the time to teach us how to make a fire in the wood burning stove in order to have proper heat inside (fill it full!).
We stayed in the upper yurt for one night and the couples cabin for two nights. The very nice yurt was just large enough for one suitcase and a few personal items. There is an outdoor community bathroom and shower to use with the yurt (it's for the more-adventurous people). We loved the cozy cabin! It was the perfect size for us and we even got to cook on the wood stove - one of the highlights of our trip!
Another highlight was relaxing with the pets! Tinkerbell is an incredibly sweet tabby cat that lives under the cabin. She was slow to warm up to us, but by the end she ended up following us everywhere we went and was very loving. Dippy, the dog, took us for a twilight walk about one mile down the hill from the camp ground. He is a very street-smart (read: outdoors-smart) dog! He loved the organic dog treats we brought for him!
A third highlight of the trip was getting outside! We went down to the south shore of the lake to check out Clear Lake State Park. It was the off-season so the park was very empty and peaceful. We also drove to the top of the mountain and hiked up to Pinnacle Rock. WOW! What an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding valleys!
It was a great pleasure to stay at Precious Forest! We had a great time!
We booked the entire place for the weekend, so 12 friends could get our "nature fix." We had an exceptional time. The place is quiet with stunning views. There were so many cute cabins to sleep in, that we traded beds the 2nd night!
Everything was super clean and the beds were comfortable. There's a delightful kitchen with a 100 year old gas/wood stove that I will sorely miss cooking on.
Ken was an exceptional host. He responded to my email and text inquires within a few hours! He was very gracious when our drive took longer than we thought and ended up checking in late.
I am very impressed with this property and with Ken as a host. I'd highly recommend everyone to stay here.
My partner and I just returned from a wonderful weekend stay in the cabin and it was superb! It was great to disconnect for an entire weekend while enjoying a nice cozy fire. Absolutely amazing.
The Apple Tree Cottage is a beautiful little cabin. Don't be put off by the first review, Ken has done a ton to make the space quite cozy.
Apple Tree Cottage
Just got back from my stay at Ken's cabin and had an unforgettable experience living off the grid. Ken was very friendly and accommodating. The cabin experience was very rustic. I especially enjoyed the old stove and gas burning fireplace. Definitely different than my life in the city. There is no electricity and lights are run in the evening by a generator. Driving up the mountain in the snow was also an experience. It was the fresh air, beautiful view, city escape I was looking for, just know what you're getting into. I loved every minute of it. Thank you Ken!
this was the perfect, simple, romantic getaway to nature and quiet. ken was the perfect host, very friendly and accomodating. he waited for us and had the cabin heated up for us when we got there! also, showed us how to use the wood burning stove and left plenty of wood. the tub outside is DIVINE, the camp dog, Dippy, is the most wonderful dog. he slept outside our cabin and took me on a walk in the morning down to lovely, expansive views of the lake. we left feeling well, rested, rejuvenated and nourished from our time there. we will definitely be returning!
note: the dirt road there is not paved...good idea to bring everything you might need so you don't have to deal with driving up and down that road more than you need to.
Had a great two-day stay in Ken’s cabins. The view is gorgeous and the cabins and tents are really cozy. Ken is super warm and welcoming. He tried his best to make sure we are absolutely comfortable.
My sister and I stayed in the Sweetheart Cabin for a couple of nights to welcome the new year and we are so happy we did! The cabin is in a beautiful location overlooking the rest of the campsite, Precious Forest, and part of Clear Lake. Ken was very warm and welcoming and taught us how to cook with a wood burning stove-- it was awesome!! The outdoor cast iron bathtub on the porch was one of my favorite features. It was a great end to a loooong hike we took one morning. We also took a night time hike and were amazed at how many starts were out-- we didn't even need a flashlight! I will definitely come back again and give Ken's tents a try!
Just perfect. Spent 3 nights here over new year with good friends, and it was stunning. Lit a campfire under the stars, made amazing food in the smoker and on the old stove. We were perfectly comfortable, the gas fire and good insulation kept the cabin nice and toasty warm. Hung out with the adorable dog Dip. Had electricity (including internet) from the generator any time we needed it, but most of the time we were happy to just switch off and disconnect. Amazing sunsets and stunning views made it easy to just sit up on the deck for hours and soak it all in.
Ken is an amazing host - checking in every now and again to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed, but otherwise just leaving us to enjoy the tranquility of the property.
We'll be back for sure.
Communicative, kind, and very clean. Would highly recommend Ken to everyone!
