I love the country and Hospitality industry both! Great food and wine and organic farming. Building green as well.

What can I say? This mountain cabin is the perfect combination of comfort, serenity and forest mystique. It's beautiful, the view is breathtaking, and the rustic feel is one of a kind. The drive up the mountain and the hike to Pinnacle Rock are just as excellent.
Our host Ken was very helpful and hospitable, going beyond what we expected, making our experience unforgettable. He seemed to be always around the area working extremely hard to help us and everyone on the property. He brought us ample firewood every day and showed us how to use everything on the premises, from the generator to the grill to the antique stoves and fireplaces. And of course our stay was ten times as joyful thanks to Dippy Doo and Roxie, the adorable dogs of the property.
We loved our time at precious forest! The tent cabin was lovely and warm with the wooden stove and the cutest campdog sleeping with us both nights. We enjoyed hiking around with the best dog as a tour guide and tasting wine at brass field. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway in the mountains and awesome hospitality from Ken, crew, and pets! Ken was a great host and helped us with everything from working the stove to our hiking trails. Can't wait to come back one day!
The house was incredible. It was spacious, and comfortable and we had a blast. We had a great time cooking inside on the gas stove and outside on the firepit. The Clear Lake area is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Ken was so hospitable and very helpful when we needed him. Its worth taking time to talk to him about the history of the place, and also he is just great guy to get to know. Our trip couldn't have gone better! Only wish it could have been longer.
Very welcoming property. Owners were really nice. Our stay was very pleasant, secluded and private.
This is a cabin built like a Howitzer tank on a property that could shelter a small army in outlying tents. A very friendly and fuzzy camp dog will greet you and take you to the front porch. This place was great to unplug and relax. Ken was very accommodating, and he even made a beer run into town for me.
I have nothing but good words for Ken. He was there when I arrived and went over everything with me and also gave me advice on fishing and hiking. I was there for two days with my dog Sasha and she loved it too! The camp dog Dippy Doo kept us from getting lonely in the large camp, which we had to ourselves.
The lodge is fairly simple - this is not luxury hotel style living, but it worked for me. I used the vintage gas stove a number of times and there is plenty of cookware and dishwater for preparing meals. It would make sense to bring your own food. It is a long way up the hill to the cabin and the nearest towns on the lake - Nice and Lucerne - have limited shopping or dining options, though there is a real supermarket in Nice.
Christopher was a great guest. Our Honda generators were in the shop but have returned. Quiet again. :)
Ken was very responsive and timely with his communications, which allowed us to iron out all the logistics for a last minute weekend getaway! He was also flexible with our arrival time, which helped out immensely. All in all, the place and the people were friendly and welcoming, while also leaving us space to have a quiet get-away-from-the-city weekend. Also, the mattresses are both super comfortable!
Everything was very cool and rustic we had a great time staying in the little cabins on top of the hill. Ken was an awesome host and gave us plenty of ideas for hikes and adventures in the area and made sure we had everything we needed.
Our experience was incredible!
I'm in love with this spot and Ken.
There is nothing that could have been improved on in anyway.
I'm going to get married there if its the last thing I do.
Just need to find a groom!
Can't wait for next years camp out.
Ken was amazing. Every need I had he met without hesitation. The tent-cabin was so cozy, and, knowing I was a there for a private writing retreat, he set a table up with a view especially for my visit. So thoughtful! The land is beautiful, and there's the SWEETEST doggy on the property—total bonus. I even got to hike with the dog, Dippy Doo. So much fun. The set up is such that there are a number of cabins/tents on the same property, and while I was one of the few on the property at the time, they do host parties every so often. So if you're looking for something more along the lines of solitude and quiet, just make sure to check with Ken ahead of time to see if there are just couples and singles during your stay, or if there will be a group. And if you're looking to go somewhere WITH a group, this location is AWESOME. There's a communal area with a fire pit and tables and such. Looks like a great place for weddings even. Super beautiful. Overall, this is a perfect spot for "comfort camping"... the wood fire stove in the tent was so lovely. Great winter retreat spot!
Communicative, kind, and very clean. Would highly recommend Ken to everyone!
