I love the country and Hospitality industry both! Great food and wine and organic farming. Building green as well.

Ken's precious forest mountain retreat was delightful! He accommodated our team of twenty so well. The cabins are rustic and charming, and Ken helped us start fires in all of them. We loved hiking to Pinnacle Rock, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and hanging out at the main lodge. A very successful trip!
The log cabin at Precious Forest is incredible! I went out there with a group of 4 girls and had an absolute blast. In a moment of spontaneity (aka last minute planning) we decided to take a trip out of the city. We contacted Ken the day before we wanted to come and he got back to us right away. Upon arriving Ken showed us around the place and gave us a run down on the stove and fireplaces (which are great!) He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and is just all around a great host. He was attentive to our requests, informative and personable, and also gave us plenty of space. The log cabin itself is a work of art and the grounds are beautiful. If all that wasnt enough he reccomend a hike in the area and his dog Dippy (the most loveable dog ever) led the way. We packed out of the house at noon but stayed in the area all day exploring and hanging out with Dippy. This place is an absolute gem! Thank you so much Ken!!!
Ken was responsive and helpful in communicating when I had questions and needed some info before the trip.
The day I arrivedhe made sure to have someone there to greet me but arrived shortly after to provide the tools I needed and to start the woodstove in the cabin so it would be warm for me. He is very attentive and friendly but not overbearing or in your business! Ken even made a special trip to provide fire starters for me which came in very handy the following morning!
It is a beautiful spot in the forest with amazing views from far above the Lake.
Ken is a great host! The room was set up with heater running before we arrived. He was very helpful in giving us pointers about dinner places and groceries (walking distance! only 3 blocks away), as well as hike trails and information about points of interest in the area. His cabin was well maintained, clean, and cozy.
It was a great experiment staying here. The nature and especially the night sky are just beautiful and Ken suggested a great hiking trail close to camp. We even got to take the camp dog as our tour guide.
If you stay here keep in mind that everything is open air, the toilet has no real door just a curtain, the showers have no roof and the kitchen no walls. Also bring earplugs because the dog is very likely to bark at wild animals passing by the camp all night long, running in and out of your tent. (He slept next to our fireplace most of the night).
The fireplaces keep the tents nice and cozy, Ken provided alot of candles for us and the beds were really comfortable.
We would definitely come back!
An absolutely amazing location and property! Can was a very good host in set me my son up very well. You can take hikes from z property and never have to leave the area if you want to. I would rent from can again and I hope to nephew church
My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at the Little Sweetheart cabin. Unfortunately we had to stay in a yurt instead for the first of 2 nights due to the cabin being double-booked, but Ken was extremely accommodating, and the yurt was fine. The outdoor bath at our cabin was pretty sweet, and overall the cabin was well-equipped, especially compared to the other yurts, which were a little bit more sparse. It would have been nice to have slightly more privacy, as all the yurts/cabins are within fairly close proximity of each other, but this did not diminish our experience.
Very pleasant! Ken met us when we arrived and showed us around. Loved the outdoor bathtub. We cooked on the little wood stove inside the cabin. There was the perfect amount of firewood set out for us. The little sweetheart cabin is cozy and the candles provided cast enough light for after the generator was turned off.
Ken was very nice and got us set up right away in our yurt. The weather was cool but thanks to the wood stove, and blankets, we were warm all night. A billion stars, nice spot and sweet camp dog. This place is out of the way and on a gravel/dirt road. Our Civic made it fine but I would recommend something with a little more ground clearance. We would definitely come back.
Ken was the most generously accommodating host, who was onsite nearby for anything and everything we could possibly have needed - but also gave us space to do whatever we wanted during our stay! Ken gave us a tour of the place on arrival, and described in detail how best to feed the wood stove, how to replenish propane, etc; his tour was both informational and fascinating for our group!
The cabin was an amazing find for our party of 10 - we were more than amply supplied with kitchen supplies, firewood, bedding... etc! We had everything for our group dinners - which ended up surprisingly gourmet owing to all the readily available resources of Precious Forest! We loved the comfy beds; we especially loved the A-frame and the loft!
During the day, we were ushered onto a fantastic hike - by the camp dog! Dippy took us on a lovely 90min hike up into the hills. We loved Dippy (such a sweet and even-tempered dog) and got such a kick out of following him on his hiking route.
Precious Forest was absolutely beautiful. We'd all love to go back!
Communicative, kind, and very clean. Would highly recommend Ken to everyone!
