We loved our stay at Naomh Colman B&B. While the rooms might be a bit small, they are spotlessly clean--and we had the best hot showers of our three weeks in Ireland. The location is amazing, just right across the road from the Kilmacduagh Monastery ruins where you can wander to your heart's content. Yet it's only a 5-10 minute drive into the town of Gort for dinner, shops, pubs, etc.
Best of all, though, was the owner herself, Josephine Finegan. She greeted us with real warmth, and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. She also gave us great tips for discovery trips through the Burren. At her suggestion one night we bought some wine and cheese and sat in her lounge to watch the sunset over the mountains--memorable! We thoroughly enjoyed her friendliness and good humor, and by the end of our stay felt like friends visiting rather than paying guests at an anonymous hotel. Thank you, Josephine!
Hi greetings from Kilmacduagh. Thank you so so much for the lovely review . Keep Well. Thanks again. Josephine
Josephine is such a lovely hostess! B&B is exactly as described, with remarkable views of the Burren and castles/monasteries across the road. Place was very clean and tidy, and her breakfast was just perfect before our trip to Shannon airport. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Ireland.
Jocelynn @ Justin. Thank you so much for the lovely review . Hope you got home safe and well. Thank you again. Josephine.
When arriving at Josephine's lovely house (located just next to the impressive ruins of the Kilmacduagh monastery) we were welcomed warmly and instantly felt at home. We were lucky to be able to choose a room (if you can, definitely take the one looking over the monastery side and the Burren!) and Josephine supplied us with plenty of suggestions for dinner and things to do during the next days.
The next morning we were greeted with a plentiful breakfast that left nothing to be desired! If you wish, you can get a Full Irish breakfast. We even got additional bread (Josephine's homemade bread is amazing. You HAVE to try) to prepare ourselves some lunch, which was great for the hikes we did in the area.
Altogether, we can definitely recommend the B&B and would return anytime!
Josephine was a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful for directions and suggestions. The room was nice and very clean, breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend, with the nice spot right in front of the ruins! Thanks Josephine!
We spend great 3 days in Josephine's B&B. She treated as with huge kindness, king-size full Irish breakfast, served in the room with memorable view, spotless clean cozy room with comfortable bed, great tips about what to see in which order and where to eat really fantastic dinner for reasonable price. We had a chance to chat both with her and her husband Pat and both were so friendly and open for questions. They adjusted breakfast hours to our schedule, even if it meant serving it outside of usual timetable. We experienced no issues with wifi both in living-room area and in our room. Overall our stay at Josephine's was very relaxing and I would recommend that experience to anyone.
We had a great stay with Josephine. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. The room was comfortable, but a little on the cold side (don't worry! she provides you with a heater and an electric blanket to make sure you're comfortable). The breakfast is excellent; it kept us full until dinner time! The wifi can be spotty at times. Josephine gave us excellent suggestions on places to visit. The location of the B&B was perfect for exploring the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty, Galway, etc. We definitely recommend her B&B!
Great place to stay and such a lovely host!Thank you!
My wife and I had a lovely stay. The room was very comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Josephine is a gracious host and made us feel very welcome. She even gave us great gift ideas that we hadn't thought of.
Josephine is a lovely host, very friendly and helpful, she gave us very good recommendations for places to visit around, and directions to each of them. The location of the B&B is great, just across the street from the monastic site and just a walk away from the Burren, in a lovely quiet countryside setting.
My wife and I stayed three nights at Naomh Coleman B&B and we really enjoyed it there. Josephine made us feel at home from the very beginning, she is a wonderful lady and a very engaged and experienced host. From the comfy rooms to the tasty breakfast to the wifi-equipped tea room or even little details such as a power adaptor to borrow, this was simply a delightful B&B-experience. Thank you very much!
