Everything was excellent. The pictures are trustworthy. Ruben is extremely friendly and helpful. The city is beautyful and the house has everything you might need. A cozzy bed, a hot shower, a good kitchen fully equipped, a washing machine and a dryer, and even more! Outside there is a very nice garden, a small playground and a pool with jaccuzzi (great during the afternoon). From Friday to Sunday the Club House offers breakfast (around Q40 - US$6), snacks and drinks. Don Hector, who is in charge of the Club House, is very polite and attentive. The guys at the sentry-box as well, always smiling and very helpful. On weekends you can also enjoy the transport services of el Paseo to Antigua. It takes only 10 minutes. Otherwise, you can take a bus (Q1.5 - US$0.2), a van (Q2 - US$ 0.7) or a taxi (Q50 - US$ 7). From Antigua, you can take a taxi at the central plaza (Q50 - US$7).
Como el nombre lo indica casa acogedora, limpia, ubicada en un barrio tranquilo en Antigua Guatemala.
As its name is a lovely house, clean, set un a quite and calm neirbourhood in Antigua Guatemala.
I rented the "cozzy house" during semana santa - which is one of the busiest weeks to be in Antigua, if not the busiest. I was very pleased with this house. On any given day and hour during semana santa many streets can be closed, which cause traffic congestion on the the streets that remain open. Cozzy house was in the South-Eastern part of the city, and i was able to take the back streets when we needed to drive out of town for our day trips elsewhere (e.g. Ciudad Vieja, San Felipe Dueñas (Valhala) etc). The location of this house is of great advantage if you rented a car. Although the location of this house is not in the middle of town or near the busy parts, there is pedestrian activity resulting from the adjacent hotel and church. If you want to get into the main part of town, it is very walkable. If you don't rent a car or go during semana santa, your experience may vary from my experience.
I had a lovely time at Cozzy House! Ruben is a really great guy who took the time to show me a neighbouring town and have lunch, even though he was busy with his work. I had the house all to myself and good high speed internet, so I was able to feel at home here, then would go out and explore.. easy easy! Ruben was very attentive to requests and reserved my shuttles to and from Guatemala City for me and was always on the other end of email/phone. La Antigua is a magical city that is worth at least a week of exploration. The restaurants are fantastic and varied.. from local cuisine to international and some incredible Italian restaurants. The culture is vibrant and the people are super friendly and it feels very safe. Thank you Ruben!!!
