We had a short but very pleasant stay, once the log fire got going we were able to spend a couple of cosy nights relaxing on what was a very cold January.
Every thing that we needed for our stay was there, and having grown up in Talwrn I was able to cast my mind back to events that took place 40 years ago!
I would recommend a stay to both family and friends
Housekeeper Goewin went out of her way to collect me from the station, and kindly showed me around the property before giving me another lift to the shops in Llangefni. House was all that we needed, wood burner in each downstairs room to keep warm in the evening (and it was freezing mid Jan) and lots of hot water bottles too. Gorgeous views of snow capped Snowdonia from the windows and garden. Had a lovely meal in local Pentraeth pub, recommended in the house welcome pack. Andreas, the neighbour, on hand to assist with anything we needed too, which was great. Felt very welcomed and very much enjoyed our stay at the Wild Garden Retreat. Thanks Catharine and your great team! Vicky & Friends, Cardiff
Hi Catharine. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We loved the wood burner, which kept us lovely and warm. The bed was particularly comfy. We had all that we needed for our stay.
The white information folder was most useful as were the leaflets and books on local attractions and walks. The recycling facilities were very good. Thank you, Eileen
Excellent cottage for the price. Wood definitely required for the log burners during Winter.
Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. It was the perfect base for visiting family nearby. Excellent communication throughout. We hope to be able to stay again in the future!
Do come again, and hopefully we can meet you next time! Thank you for leaving the place so clean and tidy. Catharine
We had a really lovely stay. We were made to feel really welcome by Goewn the hosts cousin! The house was ideal, it suited all our needs!
Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Sorry to have missed meeting your twins!
Accurate listing- great traditional welsh house in a cute village. Everything you could need supplied. Central Anglesey so easy to get around. Catherine was very helpful and lovely. Lots of space, very peaceful.
Am always happy when people like the village of Talwrn where I grew up! Hope you can come again - the new storage heaters are about to be installed!
Katherine was quick to respond and very thorough with her information and instructions. The caretaker was very helpful also. The cottage was as described and very comfortable. The area was very quiet and very central for exploring north Wales. Our visit was very enjoyable.
So glad you enjoyed Wales!
We enjoyed our time here. We used it as a home base for three days. We visited conwy, holy head, and various places in snowdonia. The fresh blackberries were a nice bonus. Thanks!
Glad you could enjoy the blackberries. Thank you for being so prompt in your arrival and so considerate in keeping Goewin informed. Catharine
Arrived mid afternoon and shown around the property by the caretaker. All very clean and tidy . My children enjoyed picking blackberry's in the large garden. We also managed a picnic which was great. The showers were great ,beds comfortable and kitchen facilities good.
The rooms were warm and comfortable and we enjoyed baking a birthday cake for my sons birthday.
So glad you could pick some blackberries. Did you find hazel nuts too? Hope it will be a memorable birthday for your son.
It was a short stay.
But I was glad we meet.
Next time, please visit a lot of time.
It was a wonderful guest. Thank you.
Catharine & Him was a lovely guest. She communicated well and arrived as planned. She left the apartment clean and tidy and I'd welcome her back as a guest anytime.
Thank you Yukio. Did you find the books about Hokkaido? We had been given duplicates copies, so left a set in your bookcase, for future visitors. C.
