I am an early retired lawyer who worked in the public sector. Although I would describe myself as "a little shy" (well, isn't everyone?) I love having guests and meeting new people. I like to talk and discover things. I've always been a treasure hunter, which explains some of the art in the house. Of course, every picture tells a story but I'll try not to burden you with every, single one!
I like writing - poetry mostly - and reading. I enjoy mounting prints and other artwork using found, vintage frames. I love films (there are quite a few of my favourites, on lobby cards, hanging in the hallway but you'll have to visit to find out what they are). I love music - Joni Mitchell being my all time favourite. I am too a dedicated follower of coffee - oh yes - and cake.
I'll take as my quote, Rilke, which was itself quoted in the movie 'Kissing Jessica Stein': "Only someone who is ready for everything, who excludes nothing, not even the most enigmatical, will live the relation to another as something alive."
