This is a perfect opportunity for prospective new guests to understand my perspective on this particular situation. I sincerely regret that these guests had a recommendation following their visit with me which might have improved their stay if they had told me while they were staying in my home. In my normal routine of greeting guests and giving them an introductory tour, I make a point of asking one favor of them...namely, if there is anything at all I can do to improve their stay, I would greatly appreciate them honestly telling me so that I could have the opportunity to make any improvements or corrections in the conditions I provide. I would have happily done what I could to better clean whatever they felt was not yet satisfactorily clean. This request for the guests' feedback comes from my experience that different people have different sensibilities, especially in the area of aesthetic presentation of the room. I prepare the room as best as I can with the standards that I have found most people find entirely acceptable. However, I do understand and respect the fact that other people have higher standards, that render my usual presentation less than ideal for them. This is why I try to ask people for the courtesy of their input, to tell me if there is any thing I can do to improve the quality of their stay in my home. I regret these guests did not allow me the opportunity to do this.
