This place is a total gem. We should have stayed a week instead of 2 nights.
The house is an adorable beach house, with a great front and back yard. I don't think any other houses on the street have yards like this. This is owned by someone who appreciates the outdoors. Landscape is well kept as well.
We slept 7 adults very comfortably. The house has everything you need for cooking, (we even baked a small cake ). There were plates, cups, utensils, and great outdoor seating in front and back. Great fridge and freezer with great ice maker too. Also, street in front is amazingly quiet day and night, huge plus because sitting in front is so nice.
We brought our small dog for 75$ extra and that worked out great as she had the huge back yard to run and play. Dogs unfortunately cannot go to beach here. We were told the closest dog beach is several miles away.
We parked 3 cars in driveway easily and last one on street with no issues.
Host was kind and lovely with us, got back to me with my questions before and during visit within a reasonable amount of time. No issues there as some have said.
We LOVED this little house and will be back!
Deborah was most gracious and answered our questions/concerns in a timely manner.
The bungalow was what we expected and enjoyed by all. The neighborhood was very quiet . We enjoyed our morning coffee in the secluded front yard and grilling our dinners
In the back . We would like to stay another time at the bungalow sometime.
The listing description is accurate. It is amazingly close to the beach. The beds in the two rooms are super comfortable with plenty of bedding for the 3 futons in the living room. The back yard is huge! There is a gate at the back of the yard that leads to a pretty courtyard sitting area. All bedding and linens were clean. The neighborhood was so quiet and felt safe.
We were disappointed with the bungalow as it was a bit dated and basic inside, when we arrived we found three dirty wet towels and the bath mat was also wet in the bathroom (which we washed). During the night (Wednesday) there was a terrible noise, which went on for ages, we wondered if it was garden sprinklers? The bungalow is in a great location. Would we hire this bungalow again I am afraid not.
Everything associated with my stay at the Bungalow was incredible. Great location. Accurate description. Overall wonderful experience.
This is a darling house in a darling neighborhood and EVERYTHING was easy about Deborah's process. The back yard is huge, the ocean is at the end of the street (like 4 houses away), the neighbors were nice and besides a long driveway that is just for the guest, parking was very easy on the street. This is a perfect spot if you are planning a trip to Legoland or just to spend time in an adorable, safe, beach community. Trains DO come by in the night (but I imagine most everyone in this small town hears them - so just be aware if you are sensitive to different noises :)
The house and yard were great! Also it was so close to the beach!
Deborah was awesome! We had a great stay at this beautiful cottage in the great city of Carlsbad.
Very cozy house and an easy walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood. Close to the shops and restaurants. It did get chilly with rain and we could not turn on the heaters. The extra blankets were great since it was cool.
It was a great location.
