I travel with my partner, Sam Narten. We have retired and have time to travel and ride road bikes (cycling) in various parts of the country. We recently rode from Pittsburgh, PA, along the GAP and C&O trails to Washington, DC, enjoying traditional B&B's along the way. We have also ridden a part of the Natchez Trace, round trip from Jackson, MS to Natchez, also using B&B's. We have enjoyed trips to National Parks, riding mules to Phantom Ranch, hiking the Panorama Trail in Yosemite, 4-wheeling in Moab, snorkeling in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park; Alaska, flying over Mt. McKinley. Other travels include Costa Rica, eco-touring and rafting; Oregon coast, Dune buggy riding; Phoenix, climbing Camelback Mountain and touring the great cities of New York, Boston, Chicago, and New Orleans, with Italy lined up for the fall of 2013.
Sam has never met a stranger and while not a raconteur, can converse with just about anyone. We enjoy good food, art, architecture, movies, plays, cycling, sailing, crossword puzzles and reading. In addition, we have built a deck together and are still quite fond of each other.
As guests, we would not be fussy. We have been abandoned and stood up at B&B's and just went with the flow. A shower and a bed and coffee would be great!
We look forward to meeting you!
