The house and location were both perfect. Exceptionally clean and spacious with enough room for my entire family, and only steps from the intersection of Haight & Ashbury. Couldn't have asked for more in an AirBnB. Richard was courteous, helpful and exceptionally welcoming. The whole experience was as smooth as we possibly could have asked for.
Our stay at Richard's place was very pleasant! The house felt like it was ours and we felt right at home. The neighborhood has a bunch of funky spots and places to grab food. Richard was great with communicating with us before and during our stay. Would stay here again.
We had a wonderful experience with our first Airbnb journey. My friends and I were in the city for the hot chocolate run and Richard's flat was close enough to the start/finish of the race that we could walk and not have to worry about transportation.
Richard was very helpful with everything also. He gave us info on the place, the area, places to eat, etc. His flat is beautiful, is furnished with all the necessities and is in an awesome location.
We are looking forward to more trips to the city and would definitely stay there again.
A very comfortable house to reside in. The host richard was very accommodating and supplied much information on the surrounding area as well as tips for eating out, local businesses, and transportation in and around San Francisco. I would certainly rent this accommodation again when next I visit.
This is a great place to spend a few days in San Francisco! The location is great, and very quiet. We appreciated that a lot. The description was perfectly accurate, with a vey nice living room, and a dining room with a sofa we easily used as a bed also (the door between the lining and dining rooms can be closed). The kitchen is well-equipped. There is a small "backyard" accessible to all apartments in the building, but we didn't care about it (our stay happening in December...).
This is a lovely, clean, well-maintained apartment, perfect for a family stay. The apartment was well-stocked with the essentials (paper towel, toilet paper, dish soap, etc), the appliances all worked and the furniture was very comfortable. Richard provided useful information about the neighborhood, made sure the heat was on for our very late arrival on a chilly night and left us the number of keys we requested. He checked in with us to make sure all was well.
The Haight is a funky neighborhood, which is both good and bad: good, in that it's filled with beautiful architecture, interesting vintage shops and cafes and has a lot of character. And the local grocery store -- right around the corner from the apartment -- is terrific and has a little café in it with great coffee. Bad, in that it also has more than its fair share of "crunchy kids," white dread-locked stoners who reek of dope, congregate on the corners and sleep (and puke) in doorways. We're New Yorkers and very used to urban street life and we didn't feel unsafe but potential visitors should definitely take this aspect of the neighborhood into account when choosing where to stay in SF. Parking is difficult but not impossible. There's no BART station nearby but the buses run through the neighborhood.
As 1st time AirB&Bers we (2 adults & 2 kids) had a very comfortable 4 nights in this clean and well-equipped flat. The location was as close as you could get to the colour of Haight-Ashbury but is nonetheless very quiet. Transport links downtown are great and it's an easy 20 minute drive to the International Airport. Arrangements for arrival and departure were easy and flexible and the Host was always happy and quick to provide local info. Would happily recommend.
Richard was a great host and very thorough when providing information both about the apartment and the area. The apartment was presented beautifully and very clean and tidy. As we were a big group staying in his place, we found that everything we could have needed was provided for. The kitchen was good for cooking in and the back garden was great for catching up over morning coffee. We would defiantly stay here again!
This is a great place to stay. Located in a nice neighborhood with lots of shops, supermarket, bars, restaurants and close to the park. We haven't met Richard but communication went perfect. The apartment was nice, warm and charming and extremely clean! It was spacious for city living. We stayed there with 4 persons and it was awesome. No more SF hotels or other B&B's for me!
Lovely kitchen and clean environment.
Richard and his family were terrific guests. They were conscientious and clean and left our home in great condition.
