I stayed with Sue for 12 nights in May 2015 while attending a course at the University of Bristol. I felt so welcomed and comfortable in her home, it was like staying with extended family abroad. She graciously picked me up from the coach station, had tea and biscuits in the suite, and made sure I had everything I needed.
The suite is immaculate and lets a beautiful amount of light into the room. The shower is amazing (as I had read in earlier reviews) and the bed was so comfortable. As I was working while in Bristol, the suite had ample room to work at the desk and also outside on the patio suite. The townhouse is an excellent location along a well-established road with lots of coffee shops, pubs and shopping markets. I walked only ~10 min to my course each day.
I was really happy I made the decision to stay at Sue's. Several others in the course I took had chosen hotels which were more expensive yet very run down, small rooms and impersonal. Staying at Sue's was so comfortable and relaxed. I hope I have the chance to return to Bristol and stay again one day.
A real find. We were impressed by the standard of accommodation. It felt like we were the first people to have used it, especially the bathroom. It was all immaculate. Sue is a lovely host and thinks of everything. The location was perfect. A couple of mins walk to The Spires Hospital. It is a very up market and safe area. Lots of great bars and restaurant within 10 min walk. Would love to visit again.
A lovely and very homely self-contained room with a great shower in the en-suite. Sue made us feel very welcome (I very much appreciated the tea & milk provided for my morning cuppa!) and the house is in a perfect location to explore Bristol!
Sue was both a professional and friendly host. The room was pristine and a very comfortable place to stay for the week. Sue went out of her way to accommodate us and even helped us out after we had left. The room is in a great location - close to basic shops and decent restaurants. It was a bonus to have a secure parking spot in the gated area and also the patio with table and chairs.
Sue was very welcoming - right on hand if I had any queries and even let me use her washing machine. The area is quiet and safe.
I don't think Sue needs another great review! She really is a reflection of what makes booking through airbnb different to booking a hotel room. Her approach is excellent and communication brilliant. The room is comfortable with special extras. The location is ideal. I'd definitely stay again and would recommend to others.
From the moment we booked Sue was amazingly helpful and friendly. My husband and i stayed for a long weekend, i had an exam early on the sat morning and thought it best to come up a day before and have an early night. Her hospitality went above and beyond with nothing being too much trouble. The room had absolutely everything you could need and was incredibly clean, private and comfortable. The shower was AMAZING ! We had gated parking and the whole trip from start to finish was seamless. It was the perfect area for me too being 10 mins away from my college and 5 mins walk from lots of cafes and shops. We will definitely be staying again :) and can't recommend Sue's place highly enough.
My girlfriend and I stayed with Sue while we looked for a flat to rent in Bristol. We had just made the move across the ocean from Canada to England and were exhausted and had a bit too much luggage, but Sue was extremely accommodating! She picked up us from the Bristol Bus Station and showed a bit of the area as we drove to her home. She was extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating, especially after such an intense move!
The room is lovely, with access to an adorable garden, very fast internet, and a lovely private, en-suite bathroom. The whole room was VERY clean, well-stocked, Her place is in an excellent location, near many good cafes, restaurants/pubs, and shops. She even left us biscuits, tea, and a kettle, which came in very handy for an evening tea after running around flat-hunting!
Sue was very attentive, even when she had to be out of town for a few days she kept in touch to make sure things were okay. I would gladly stay with Sue again and recommend you do as well!
Sue was extremely welcoming despite us arriving quite late in the evening. The room was very well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge so had we wanted to cater for ourselves that would have been possible. As it was we ate out during our stay but were able to make hot drinks. The room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully warm with heated towel rail and a gorgeous large shower. The location was ideal for us visiting family in the local area, and very quiet despite being only 3 minutes walk from local shops, cafes etc.
Sue's place was fabulous! A beautiful house, a clean, spacious, well-appointed luxurious room and a lovely patio with a fountain and bamboo. The bathroom was modern and well-designed.
Maid service was provided once a week.
Located in an excellent area right on the expansive green meadows of the Downs with spectacular views of the Avon Gorge a ten-minute walk away. Local coffee-houses, fish-n-chips and grocery stores are just two minutes walk, and the bus stop for the 1 and 2 bus routes which takes you directly downtown in 5-10 minutes is even closer.
Sue was extremely attentive and pleasant our entire stay, not to mention great fun to chat with.
One of our top stays! Recommended!
