I live here with my husband, two teenage children and our little labrador. I lead a busy life looking after the family, our garden and animals and welcoming our guests.

Still can't believe how good it is, it looks great in the pictures and really is! It is a self contained 'wing' of a lovely old cottage, as a regular business traveller it was so nice to have a real homely space, Katie made dinner (tea to those of us from the north), a lovely pasta bake, which was eaten in front of a roaring log fire with a glass of red and a film on TV. Will be returning soon. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Lovely place. Great decor, suiting the rural locale. Katie was welcoming and helpful, but gave us our privacy. Tranquil spot, charming area. Comfy bed, really nice breakfast. Can't ask for more, really!
An absolute delight to stay with Katie and her family again. I can't think of a more peaceful or comfortable place to recover from a long journey than this. Just as on my first visit, I can't recommend this accommodation highly enough. My only regret was that I had little time to explore the local area, but I guess that means I'll be back!
The accommodation in itself is a really nice space, very spacious and fresh. Fantastic having the use of a living room too.
Everything about the B&B was perfect, the location is stunning.
Although I was staying the night on a business trip it was lovely to watch the local red kites flying around the tree tops, I hope I can investigate the area a little more when I have time.
Katie was very welcoming , and made the whole AirB&B experience relaxed and easy from booking to departure.
Hope to stay again sometime.
Katie's country home is in an idylic location amongst the Chiltern hills, with snowdrops, chickens, red kites, and pheasants in the garden. I even saw a herd of deer crossing the road on my arrival in the evening.
To be greeted by a log fire in the lounge was a wonderful welcome and I had the most comfortable stay in such lovely, peaceful surroundings. I will certainly return.
Katie made me feel relaxed and welcome from her first warm greeting. The beautiful photos could not do justice to her fabulous home situated in a sleepy Chiltern lane with picturesque views. Katie showed me round and lit the wood burning stove in the lounge. I could not have wished or expected more.
Had a lovely reception and really was comfortable in every way Katie was very friendly and went out of her way for me (phone number hidden)You really are asking a lot of me (phone number hidden)500 words is too many! (phone number hidden)
I really enjoyed my two days at Katie's place in the Chilterns, it's a beautiful location and the room is in a more or less self-contained annexe, with a bathroom, sitting room and breakfast area. It's peaceful, cosy and beautifully decorated. I found Katie and her family kind and efficient hosts, helping me with local information and providing delicious strawberries for breakfast! Highly recommended if you're in the area. Thanks Katie.
Katie was a wonderfully pleasant and welcoming host, who was very attentive throughout my stay. As lovely as the pictures of the accommodation and surrounding views are, the reality is much greater. Everything is of the highest quality and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast provided is very good. Special mention goes to the delightful home-made Apple and Pear juice!! I'd definitely recommend staying here, and will do so again when I'm next in the area.
Katie and her husband were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I was very impressed with the size and quality of the space, a perfect country retreat and excellent value. The optional cooked breakfast was delicious, and even though I kept the wood burner going for nearly three days solid they kept the logs coming without question. I highly recommend a relaxing stay with the Hinton's.
Katie Hinton is an extremely good hostess ! She is very skilled at anticipating other people's needs,a very good home cook and I think will make a wonderful airbnb member . The farmhouse is set in beautiful grounds , quiet and peaceful overlooking a wooded valley with a high chance of seeing red kites , wild deer and owls at dusk. I thoroughly recommend the accommodation, private from the rest of the house and decorated in a tasteful manner . You always leave feeling rested and having had a special treat.
Katie is a very warm and friendly person. We have been friends for over 30 years.
My family has stayed at her lovely home many times, it's very comfortable, fresh and has a lovely feel about the place. She can recommend great places to visit locally and several places which serve good local food.
This is definitely a B&B to try.
I have known Katie for over 20 years and can vouch for her 100%! She is a wonderful hostess and runs a beautiful and very comfortable home. I have stayed many times - the guest wing of the house is private and spacious. The B&B is situated in such a lovely area which has fabulous walks and country pubs for great weekends away. I also often stay when working in Oxford or London and love coming back to a warm welcome and the peace of the Chiltern hills. Great breakfasts too!
