We (2 couples) stayed at Kenneth's home for the month of March. It was incredible. This is not a typical rental. This home has high end fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as marble counter tops throughout. The bedrooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable, again, unlike most rental homes. The main floor is great for entertaining as it has a very open floor plan. Lots of sunlight shines through in the morning. We could just sit an have breakfast all day long. So relaxing... The property is on a very private lot, but still very close to town. Woodstock has some great cafes and restaurants. Worthy Kitchen is a must for beer fanatics. Killington is just 15 miles away. The largest ski resort in the east.
Even after a month we didn't want to leave.
We'll be back!
Kenneth’s house is accommodating, clean with beautiful views of the mountains and hills all covered in snow. The house is well equipped with anything we needed for the duration of our stay.
The photos shown are exactly how the house/rooms look like. We were a group of 4 people and we all had a great and comfortable 3 night stay.
Communicating with Kenneth was seamless. He introduced me to Mary the house manager. We spoke few days before our arrival and she gave some helpful tips.
When we arrived at the house (after a 6hour drive) there were fresh flowers in the table kitchen, cookies and a bottle of wine waiting for us! - Thank you!!!
Killington ski resort is about 30mins. Woodstock Farmer’s Market and the Long Trail Brewery are both short drive from the house and a must visit.
We particularly loved the open kitchen/dining area and the woodstove in the living room where we all hang out and relax after a whole day of skiing.
On our last night, we went sledding in the property’s open meadow which was so much fun!
Thank you very much Kenneth and Mary.
Seven of us spent an amazing weekend at Kenneth's house. The space was perfect without anyone tripping over each other. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating in. Check-in was a breeze and the communication was effortless. Cannot wait to go back!
Ken's home is fantastic. It's lovely in and out, has the coziest wood stoves (some fire-building experience might help there), a better-stocked kitchen than anyone I know (it has everything up to and including a tart pan), four full bedrooms that would sleep 7 comfortably (if 6 were in couples) and three couches besides. The home is very cozy, with lots of living space and a piano room. The area around the house is really pretty and peaceful, and it's a convenient drive from Killington. The town of Woodstock is just minutes away and very cute.
There is definitely not good cell phone coverage at the house itself, but the wifi worked fine. Everything was very clean when we got there, and the housekeeper Mary called us before we came and gave us all the directions and advice we might need. There were towels, sheets and even cooking spices and such all waiting for us. The whole experience was great, and we're all talking about how much we'd like to return in the future. Thanks to both Ken and Mary for a wonderful trip!
Kenneth's house is amazing. My family and I stayed here during the height of leaf peeping season and we couldn't have picked a better place. The views from the house itself are amazing. The deck on the house provides an excellent place to just chill out and enjoy the view. The house is spacious and very tastefully decorated. All the amenities are top end. There were fresh flowers when we arrived and wood for a fire to warm us up at night.
The location itself is ideal. Close enough to be in Woodstock in 4 minutes but far enough out to feel like you're in the country. And for those who don't know, Woodstock is the poster child for idyllic new England Village. There's a bunch of choices for gourmet food and plenty of unique shopping. We walked from the village green to a hike up Mt. Tom that affords an excellent view of the village from the top. An easy hike, it was magical to walk among the trees and boulders and then stroll back down the mountain for dinner in town at the Red Rooster, one of the high end restaurants in the village. We would definitely recommend Kenneth's house for anyone looking for the perfect New England retreat.
WOW!! This was our favourite part of our trip. Kenneth's house is beautifully decorated and very spacious. We awoke every morning to a view of the trees changing colour and leafs falling to the ground. The home is close to the small town of Woodstock which is enchanting and also close to ski resorts. The pictures do not do this home justice. We would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be returning.
