Chester is very kind and hospitable, the house is warm and cozy, the neighbourhood is quiet and convenient to access the freeway. It's a wonderful time for us to spend 2 weeks in Cleveland, very appreciated.
Chester was a super nice guy who was pretty accommodating for the few things we asked for after arrival - he even let me park the car in his garage (which I was grateful for). While this probably isn't the place to use as a home base to go sightseeing around Cleveland or spend a bit of quality time in, it is suited for a group of 3+ for a one night stopover.
Chester is a great host and took my very last minute reservation and for that I am eternally grateful. We arrived at 3 am and left at 9 am. It was only a night stop but the place was very basic and I was hoping not to see the cockroaches because it felt like and smelled like home for them. I am sorry to say I would not be staying there ever again. I would not recommend it unless it is truly a last minute stop and you have no other choice.
Chester is a warm, hospitable, and helpful host. He's very accommodating and flexible, and a great resource while in the area. Thanks, Chester!
Chester is a more than nice host, helpful and really interesting. The friend I was supposed to meet there didn't come, but Chester'smile and open spirit really helped me to get over it. Wonderful stay!
Chester's apartment is wonderful! It's in a great up and coming arts district in Cleveland, with awesome galleries, music venues and record stores within a 10 minute walk. Chester is very hospitable, providing coffee/tea, fruit and cereal, as well as wonderful homemade soaps, lotions and incense. His neighbours were also very welcoming and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. If you're going to be in Cleveland, make no mistake - stay at Chester's for goodness sake!
Response from Chester:
I'm glad that you had fun, Dallas! You're definitely welcome back!
Chester was very kind and let us stay with virtually no notice; 30 minutes the night of, to be exact. The place itself is a little run-down and not exactly cozy, but it's fine if you're just passing through town and need a place to crash, which was what we did. Plenty of street parking too if you have a car.
Response from Chester:
Naseem, I am very glad that I could assist you while you were passing through during the inclement weather.
Chester was very sweet to us. He went out of his way to pick us up from the station and even drove us in to town to collect our rental car and then when the office in the centre of town was closed he drove us all the way to the airport and waited for us so we could follow him home!!! He looked after us from start to finish by recommending places to eat etc...
The house was clean if a little dark!!!
All in all a good stay in an up and coming location of cleveland.
Chester is a very warm and friendly host who was so kind in picking us up from the station and taking us to the airport. He put himself out for us when he did not need to. The house was clean and welcoming and is in an up and coming area.
Chester was the absolute nicest host! Very accommodating and generous. Let us park in the garage on the property, which was very helpful. Chester gets 10 stars.
At first we felt a little unsafe in an unknown neighborhood, but we felt better with Chester right above us in his own apt as well as additional support on premises.
The apt was big enough for 6 of us, which was really helpful. We had a few exchanges to clarify the bedrooms and bed situation. Chester put in a real queen size bed into the bigger bedroom, which was great. There is a smaller twin bed and then a queen sized air mattress in the second bedroom. The beds were all very comfortable. I believe there is a pull out for the couch or a very short person could sleep on the couch but we did not use this room, we used 2 of our own air mattresses and 2 members slept in the living room.
With recent tenants gone, it was feeling a little empty home-y-ness wise, but the sheets were clean and there were clean towels and amazing soap and lotions in the bathroom which a few of us ended up buying!
There was a small college size fridge that fit a few of our pre-purchased road trip items. There was no coffee available at the time, but there was tea and an offer for some other breakfast items from Chester. We opted to caffeinate for our trip at a local diner (that was featured on the Food Network - Big Al's)
Response from Chester:
Thanks Lisa! I hope your trip was wonderful! There will be coffee from now on! I will also update the bnb photos as we improve the "warm and cozy" feel of the apartment!
The accommodations very clean comfortable. My stay was restful and peaceful.
