Hey, I'm Jeff!

I am 31 years old, and I'm excited to be actively participating in and enjoying the revitalization of the City of Detroit. Originally from Pittsburgh and more recently Cleveland, I moved to Michigan in 2005 to take a great job in Bloomfield Hills. For my first weekend in Michigan, I decided to drive down into the City of Detroit in order to "get lost" and explore. That day, which culminated with a great meal in Mexicantown, was just the first of many adventures in this great city. I soon purchased my first of four homes in the D. When I first drove down the Virginia Park Historic Districts 120 year old brick street, I knew I had stumbled upon a very special place. I stared in amazement at the mix of fine architecture. Some of the homes, despite being over 100 years old, looked to be in fantastic condition. Some other homes cried out for someone to move in and give (email hidden) on life. Since I have been successfully renting rooms to professionals and students for over eight years, I immediately saw the potential in these 4000 square foot historic homes, with their numerous large bedrooms and bathrooms. There is perhaps only one thing that I enjoy more than giving newcomers a tour of our fabulous city and it is sharing our historic homes with visitors. Each home in the Virginia Park Historic District has it's own unique story to tell. My friends and I love to investigate the history of the people who have lived here before us, as well as the structural history of the building itself. We have been fascinated to discover elaborate plaster detail, woodwork or tile that had been hidden for years by a previous owners awkwardly built addition. Restoring these fine homes to their original grandeur and working to strengthen our community have become our passions. We look forward to welcoming many more new residents and visitors alike to the Virginia Park Historic District and the rest of the great City of Detroit, just a bicycle ride beyond or old brick street. Hope to talk with you soon!
