I am from United States. I am a city planner. I lived in Albania for two years, doing development work.
Karl and his girlfriend, who are normally separated by thousands of miles, had a romantic ten-day rendezvous in Barcelona. They are very nice people and it was a pleasure to host them. They were very respectful of my space and of course I gave them the privacy they needed. In his review Karl noted that the apartment was a bit hot and noisy. This is really only a problem in July/August when the city is sometimes very hot and humid (so everyone in the city suffers!) and the windows that give on to the street have to be open at least some of the time for ventilation. Normally the triple-glazed windows that I installed in the guest section of the apartment are closed and they are very effective at shutting out the noise.
