Great communications. Nice house. Pleasant host. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Mary has a Lovely home in Eagle River, a BEAUTIFUL area about a 20 minute drive from Downtown Anchorage. She was very welcoming and accommodating, especially given that we arrived at 2:00am!
Her place is clean, warm, and picturesque. We wish we could have stayed longer!
This room in Eagle River was beautiful, and just what we needed. Mary was very gracious in light of our transportation difficulties. I appreciate that Mary provided the information about the king being a trundle upfront. The room (two rooms as stated by another reviewer) was spacious and included several chairs (one being a giant, comfortable armchair.) We'll know for next time to get a car rental if we were to stay here again.
Mary was a lovely host and very welcoming. The room was cozy but didn't have a window. The bed was really comfortable. We were able to use the laundry and dryer and the kitchen as well. In the mornings we found delicious blueberry muffins and granola with fruit on the next day. We would definitely recommend staying at Mary's!
Great accommodation. Nice clean bedroom and bath downstairs, very comfortable, lots of privacy. Good, clear communications with Mary beforehand. Easy to find, nice neighborhood right outside of town. Delicious zucchini bread & coffee in the morning. Highly recommended.
Mary is warm and welcoming. She made sure our stay was comfortable and patiently answered all our questions even at 11pm.
In the morning, we woke up to find our breakfast of fruits, zucchini bread, coffee, on the table. The zucchini bread was delicious. :)
Our only gripe would be the bed, didn't realize it wasn't a 'flat king bed'. But we slept well.
It was a great stay, liked the home and its surroundings. Home and the room was clean and had all the basic facilities. Mary was amazing to talk with and she was very welcoming and flexible about the hours. My wife and I enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely love to stay at Mary's place again, if we get a chance.
Had a great experience staying with Mary. Place was clean and comfortable. Loved the muffins she made for breakfast! Mary was a great host with lots of knowledge about the local area.
We had a very lovely time staying with Mary. She was very kind and accommodating. She had great suggestions for things to do during our short stay. The home was very welcoming and comfortable.
Our stay at Mary's place was wonderful. The room was clean, quiet and cozy. Mary is a very nice host. We had to leave early in the morning, and enjoyed her kindly prepared fruit and brownies for the breakfast. I would recommend her to people visiting Anchorage.
Mary and her companion were the perfect, happy, charming guests~ they seemed genuinely pleased and awed by Alaska and our beautiful little town of Homer. The time they spent here was full of adventure and I really enjoyed their excitement. I would welcome them back anytime!
