We had a lovely stay at Jacobs place. Never actually met our host as we were out exploring the city and the festival (highly recommendable!) but the room was nice, clean and all we needed. Nice location in a quiet part of town with an easy 10 min way to the oldtown and a cute little cafe on the corner with nice breakfast and lunch.
We had a brilliant time. Jacob was incredibly kind and helpful, the place was nicely situated, it was a comfortable, inviting apartment.
This apartment was lovely. Agata was there to meet us and she was very nice. We found it nice and quiet. It was also very central, we did not take the bus once while we were here but walked everywhere. We didn't get to meet Jacob as he was away but I am sure we will meet him in the future as we would love to stay here again. They also had the cutest tortoise!
The reservation was canceled 20 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Jacub was a friendly host, but was not available much of the time. The room was clean, a minimalist place to sleep. The location was very good, recommend the Renrock Cafe across the street. His flat mate Agata was very hospitable. The room was quiet.
I had a really nice stay at Jacob's place during my long weekend in Edinburgh. Jacob is such a nice guy and made a point of asking how I was doing and if everything is okay. Despite my short stay, I had the chance to sit down and chat with Jacob a couple of times and he was really great to talk to and a good laugh as well.
The room was small but clean, with a very comfortable bed and a nice big window that was good for letting in sunlight (when the sun did come out). Jacob also made it clear that I was free to use the living room and could help myself to TV whenever I wanted. The internet was also really fast, which was great.
There's a lovely cafe across from Jacob's place that he recommended before I arrived and it was great for grabbing a morning coffee and something to eat before I set out for the day. The flat is also only a 15 minute walk from Waverley rail station, which made it extremely easy for me to get to Jacob's place when I arrived and I happily walked everywhere during my stay, given the flat's central location.
I would definitely recommend staying at Jacob's place, especially if you'd like to stay in an interesting neighborhood that's central but not too busy and enjoy sitting down and having a chat with someone really nice, interesting and very accommodating.
Jacob's place was perfect for your 2-night stay in Edinburgh. The apartment has an excellent location - walking distance from anywhere in the center really. Jacob is a welcoming host and he was very flexible with check-in and check-out. We definitely recommend his place to others.
It was very nice to stay with Jacob. He was very flexible with check in & out, I was able to use all the facilities at his place (heating, internet, kitchen facilities) - which saved me a lot of money and he was a very caring host, aways checking everything was ok. The flat is in a really good location and very good value for money, although it might be nice to know that is a 3rd floor flat, specially if you are coming with luggage and stuff. The room is not big as you can see in the pictures, but very very comfy and nice. I could tell the flat had all just been cleaned as soon as I came in, and the beddings smelled nice and fresh. The flat wasn't always kept perfectly tidy but still pretty acceptable for the money you pay.
Staying with Jacob was one of the best parts of my stay in Edinburgh! A perfect place to stay with plenty of privacy, a central location and a great cafe across the road that serves great coffee and food. And Jacob is a lovely host open to conversation and advice on navigating Edinburgh.
Jacob could not have been a better host. He is a wonderful guy and will surely make anyone's first night in Edinburgh a fantastic experience. You can't go wrong with Jacob!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Jacob is a lovely accommodating hosts who will make you feel at home very quickly. The flat is very central and within walking/short bus ride of pretty much anywhere in Edinburgh that you might like to go. You'll have a great holiday with him!
