30 something professional with a city job and a country life. I work for a small consulting firm called Great Place to Work. All of our clients are companies that want to learn how to be better employers to their employees. As a part of my work, I search for the Best Companies to Work For and produce a list that gets published every year in FORTUNE magazine. I love my work because it is so positive and all of our clients are committed to doing the right thing and being better tomorrow than they were today.

When I'm not doing my 9 to 5 thing you'll find me outside working in my garden, feeding my chickens, tending to the vineyards with my farmer boyfriend, or hiking in the wonderful parks in California's wine country, the Napa Valley. I grow most of the food I eat -- greens, tomatoes, beets, beans, etc -- and love cooking healthy meals for my guests. I live with my boyfriend of 3 years, Doug, who many have told me is the "nicest man in the Napa Valley." He loves viticulture and farming, and tasting great wines. We often travel together but need to honor the seasonality of his work which keeps us close to home 10 months out of the year.

My indoor activities are usually pretty limited and consist of a bit of facebooking, downloading iTunes, making plans for my weekend, or reading.

Both Doug and I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. We love watching movies, particularly comedies. We are generally very happy people and inclined to like everything and everyone, though we do appreciate spaces that are clean and tidy and room mates that are helpful and respectful. We believe no meal is so tasty as a home cooked meal made with love. We love learning about other people's traditions and religions and political views and are just generally curious about life.

I've only used AirBnB once before but I love the concept and am eager to connect with fellow travelers!
