Vicki was awesome! wonderful place, location and excellent communication. Would absolutely recommend.
It was really great to have a sink and fridge and clothes washer and dryer available. Vicki was very friendly and even offered advice about parking and the hectic ness during the farmers market. The separate entrance was nice. All in all it was a really great place to stay.
Tranquil, relaxing and in a great location! Close to Oakland Childrens Hospital, separate entrance and easy driving distance to Berkeley.
I loved my stay at Vicki's place! It is close to both Rockridge and Temescal and within walking to so many amazing restaurants. The room is in Vicki's house but it is on its own floor and has its own entrance so it feels very private. Vicki is a very gracious, responsive host, and even suggested that we offer the farmer's market (2 blocks away!), which we did. The neighborhood is super adorable, lush with trees, and feels very safe!
The perfect airbnb experience. Vicki is the most hospitable host I have ever had the opportunity to meet. She was kind, extremely considerate and generous, and very helpful as I got to know the environment (which is absolutely fabulous). The room itself is very spacious and it practically has an annexed kitchen and a small garden. I got got clean and well equipped (including soaps and a tea selection!) and I loved every minute. The big plus is Jamba - once you get to know her she is the sweetest dog ever!
Vicki was spectacularly awesome!
My co founder and I had a lovely time spending one month in her place. We practicality had the whole downstairs to ourselves.
We would have stayed longer but did not renew before it was booked again.
She also has a cheeky dog Jamba.
We love our stay.
I stayed a month and had the most wonderful stay with Vicki. She was super accommodating. The neighborhood was very nice, shopping was close by and public transit easy to get to. One thing to note is that the shower is a little small and if you're tall like me (6'2") you will have to learn to watch your head. But after 1 shower it was never a problem again. One last recommendation is that if you have any aches and pains ask Vicki to demo her Bemer. It's a really cool piece of tech. Anyways, I'm glad I came and will look here again in the future if I need to rent a place in the future.
Vicki is a wonderful host! She was very flexible about my changing late check in and early check out. She is very sweet and definitely attentive to one's needs.
An FYI about the apartment, not a bad thing, but something to know, because the room is in the basement the ceilings are very low. I think anyone over 5'10" may have a hard time fitting in the shower! I personally was okay, but kept thinking if my boyfriend had been with me he would be ducking a lot.
Vicki was very accommodating. Her basement apartment has a separate entrance from the house upstairs and is quite large. She is just outside the parking district so no parking permit is needed. The weekend Farmers Market is just around the corner and in her backyard she has the biggest avocado tree, producing wonderful fruit, I've ever seen! This was a perfect location for us (close to family, BART, College Avenue activities), however basement/garage living might not be for everyone.
Thanks, Jim, I Agree that being downstairs might not be for everyone. At the same time, please note that the room is on ground level (not below).
