Amazing apartment in the middle of the best of Rome. The atmosphere as soon as you step out of the front door is like no other... The absolute heart of the culture. Sebastian met us at the apartment to turn over the keys and was very helpful on different locations in the neighborhood. When I next return, I will most definitely be staying at Sabrina's apartment again. (A/c is a life saver if your visiting in the summer)
I recently stayed at dormiroma trastevere tolomeo apt and it was great!! We were a group of 4 and my baby, who had his own cot which Sabrina was kind enough to get for us.
The rooms were clean and exactly as portrayed in the pictures, very spacious and we found all the amenities necessary.
The location is very convenient as it is close to restaurants, little grocery stores and walking distance to all touristic spots (if you are prepared to walk - but there is also a taxi rank nearby)
The only downside is the stairs to get to the apt! 60 steps to get to the apt and it can get a little tricky when carrying a stroller etc.
We had a great time in rome and would rent this apt again. Thanks!!
I stayed with my family (husband and three young kids) in Sabrina's apartment for a week. Sabrina and Sebastian were very friendly and helpful - Sebastian met us at the apartment and Sabrina followed up with us promptly when we found the airconditioning in one bedroom was not working.
The apartment was as we expected. It was well furnished and spacious with lovely natural light in the living space and pretty views to neighbouring apartment buildings and roof terraces. The kitchen was equipped with only basic items and was without a conventional oven and toaster, both of which would have been useful. We could also not work the washing machine and plumbing/drainage in the bath and showers was very slow. None of these factors was a major problem although handwashing clothes for a week was slightly tedious.
The location was fantastic - Trastevere is a beautiful part of Rome in walking distance to many major tourist spots. Cafes/trattorias are plentiful and reasonably priced. The nearby main street, Viale Trastevere, is a broad tree-lined street with all kinds of shops and supermarkets.
The one drawback for us was the fact that the occupant of the apartment beneath us complained to us on our first day about the thumping noise made by my children as they moved around our apartment. We found it difficult to keep our kids quiet and were constantly reminding them to walk quietly. Families with young children might want to consider this when looking at this apartment.
Other than that we had a great stay and liked the apartment very much.
Sabrina was a superb host. I made an error with the dates on my original booking and reserved for the wrong weekend but she was great with re-arranging the booking for the correct dates. She answered all of my emails promptly also.
We spent 5 days in Rome in Sabrina's lovely apartment. It was in a great neighborhood, just minutes from the Vatican and St. Angelo's Castle, restaurants, coffee shops and stores. The location is fantastic! A few blocks away is a great market at Campo Fiori that sets up daily. The apartment is very comfortable and we felt very much at home. Sebastian and Sabrina both spoke excellent English, were super friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend it and would definitely stay again.
We realy enjoyed staying at Sabrina's. It is a lovely neighborhood en we have eaten in very cute restaurants. Sabrina's place is clean and perfect for a few days stay in Rome; the most wonderful place is the world!
This is the perfect apartment! Sabrina was a wonderful host and Sebastian who greeted us was very helpful and accommodating. The apartment has everything you need for a few days in Rome. Trastevere is the perfect neighborhood in Rome, across the street from all the tourist sites and yet authentic and local. The sandwich place downtairs called "Pianostrada" was perfect for lunch, food was fresh and the girls who run the place are absolutely charming! I wish I could thank them again here. It was difficult finding a place for dinner because its always fully booked so I suggest reserving in advance. The only negative I can share is that the shower was very small and a bit uncomfortable. I kept knocking my elbows :) I will be returning to this apartment every time I'm in Rome. Thank you Sabrina.
The apartment was well located. The bathroom, however, was not suitable for the handicap since it had a tricky ledge which my husband found to be a trip hazard. Reminder to guests requiring ground floor access that first floor means up two flights of stairs. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal!
Great host - Sabrina was very accommodating even when we had to check in late. Apartment was smaller than expected but then again, this is Europe. We had all the essentials including WiFi. The neighborhood is fantastic especially if you are looking for a younger crowd. They even had Karaoke night at one of the local bars!
A very good location, in a great area. It made you feel like a local in Rome!
