The apartment was in a great location. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. For Athens, this is saying a lot. The exterior of the apartment was one of the rare few newly painted without graffiti. The patio is large and nicely maintained. The bathroom was small, but the other rooms were spacious enough. The kitchen was nice, but any more than two people had to eat outside in the patio as the kitchen table was a very small card type table. There were not many light fixtures in the apartment, so it was on the dark side when the patio shutters were closed. One bedroom had a single bed and one bedroom had a double bed. That being said, it is an owner occupied apartment and not just a rental. There is no drawer space and the closet in the double bed bedroom contained the owners clothing. The refrigerater had old food in it and the freezer was full of leftovers. For clarity, the tub really is only useful as a shower, and the television barely gets reception. As far as we were told, "no paper in the toilet". This may be true for most of Athens, but I found that fact given in retrospect fairly gross. Clothes dry outside on a line as there is no dryer. Owners have a dog so allergies would be a problem. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, but consider it to be a no frills type of place.
The apartment was in a good location. It was clean and quiet. Tina & Matthew are very kind people - THANK YOU!
