I am a PhD Student in Political Science at New York University, on a McCracken Fellowship. I also write for the Guardian and New York Times on international affairs.
I lived around the world for about five years (Switzerland, Sierra Leone, Ecuador and Afghanistan), while working for the United Nations and subsequently doing research funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Heinrich Boell Foundation, mostly on the politics of civil war.
My favorite places to visit, however, are not those places! I like the Rhone region in France, Rosario in Argentina, and the Jersey Shore in the US.
