I had a great experience, the loft was very comfortable and spacious. Thanks :)
Nice stay, fine appartement, very central, pleasant host. Thank you, Jekatyerina!
It was great meeting Katya. I wish her all the best .
The cleaners had not done a good job prior to my arrival and for that reason i had to cut my stay short.
We spent three nights in Jacatyerina's apartment and had a fine experience. The flat itself is very spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the street and plenty of charming furniture and rugs. The location was excellent with trams around the corner and a metro station within 10 minutes walking - we were also able to walk from the train station when we arrived, which took probably 15 minutes. There are some great restaurants and bars nearby and the neighbourhood generally has a cool, friendly vibe.
Let me begin this review by saying that the place was pretty much exactly what we had expected and exactly what we needed. It's in a central location with easy walking to the metro line, tram line, and buses. The area felt safe and urban. Parking was free and easy to find from Friday at 6pm through our stay on Sunday. It was different from other airBNBs that we've stayed at in the sense that it was evident that someone lives there and it's not an exclusive rental. It was very pet friendly with a pet relief grass area only 2 blocks away. The check-in and check-out times were very flexible and the host responded quickly to emails and texts before and during our stay. Did i mention free Wifi? Nice perk!
A few things you should know that are somewhat unclear in the listing: 1) parking is not onsite M-TH. (Monday morning through Thursday Evening you must pay to park btwn the hours of 6am-6pm) The free parking is a 15 minute walk away. We ended up paying to park in a garage two blocks away for 3750 forint per car (not the end of the world). I know not many people probably drive to budapest, but when we searched for a place to stay, onsite included parking was part of my search and I felt like that was somewhat true, but not completely 2) The listing says three bedrooms but it has only 2 exclusive private bedrooms. The third room doubles as a family room with a great large pull out couch. Although the room is enclosed by doors, it is meant to be a gathering space and also leads into the master bedroom. Again, not a big deal for our group, but something you should know.
Overall, I would recommend this place to a group of budget friendly travelers who don't have "hotel-like" expectations. It is a great value for the space. Would I stay there again? Yes, with the right group--not with my parents, but definitely with a group of friends looking only for a centrally located place to crash at night.
Thanks to Katy for a great trip to Budapest!
We were in Budapest for 5 days and our stay was veru pleasant!
Jekatyerina is a very nice and communicable!
Flat is really large! And it is pretty and authentic, high ceilings and commodious rooms. It is centrally situated within walking distance of main sights.
And of course it should not go unspoken about awesome upstair!!! It's great!
Thank to Jekatyerina for our hollidays!!!
We recommend this ftat.
Whoops, so sorry about my previous review - it was meant for another place I stayed!
Review of "Chain bridge downtown pearl" :
The location is super good for sight-seeing in Budapest. It's definitely a budget kind of place. It has what you need but I would not say I was "impressed." As the other review mentions, the bath is does not have a shower prop - wasn't a big deal for me really.
If you want to be close to the bridge and do a lot of sightseeing, this place works great. If you want to do some night life and go visit some of the famed "ruin bars," there are better options in the ruin bar area of town.
Communication and availability were good. NOTE: you will not be hosted by the girl who is pictured. She is an interpreter based in the UK because the guy who lets you in has pretty poor English. He was very nice and it was totally fine, but it was a bit confusing to me when I arrived.
Renata was an absolute angel who was helpful in so many ways. She's absolutely there to make sure you have everything you need not only with accommodations but also with getting around the city.
The location of the place is about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town area but the metro and underground are very nearby - which can take you anywhere you need to go for super cheap. The location is quite convenient and easy to find.
Overall, highly recommended!
The pictures looked great, but I wasn't the one to stay there. I booked the place for a company exec from Budapest. The host was responsive and friendly and the location was great, but the shower didn't work very well and it wasn't as clean as we would expect.
Not the same experience that we've had with other Airbnbs.
The apartment location is literally PERFECT. It's close to EVERYTHING! The apartment was sparse and clean... the building (outside apartment) is quite industrial and a bit dirty (and sometimes loud) but the apartment itself is very nice and did I mention the great location. The host and I missed each other at our original time (my train was delayed) and it was a bit difficult to connect to get keys/etc but she was very helpful in arranging tours, helping me find a local SIM card, etc. Just an FYI, the apartment does not have a shower, just a tub; didn't matter for me but might for others. I would definitely recommend it purely for the location... the four seasons, sofitel, and intercontinental all are right across the street if that gives you a sense for how perfect the location is.
