The room is as it appears in the photos. It has a nice size and a good bed. Pigneto is a very interesting area of Rome. You could say it's Rome's bohemian neighborhood. There are a lot of interesting bars, cafés, eateries, shops, and so on. So if you like going out or a younger and/or more alternative scene it's an ideal place. The only drawback is that it can be a bit loud on the street on some nights. So, if you're looking for a quiet area, this is probably not the best for you.
As far as transportation it's pretty ok, since 2 trams going directly to Termini pass frequently about 2-3 minutes' walk away. Then you can either walk or take any of the 2 metro lines.
Gabriele is a busy person, but whenever I saw him he was friendly and helpful. The communication process for arrival or other arrangements was easy.
The only minus was that the bathroom needed cleaning when we arrived.
We had an amazing week end at Gabriele´s flat.
The room is quite big, clean and confortable.
Pigneto is an incredible neighbourhood with lots of art, nice places and a mix of people. Is interesting to visit Rome from Pigneto because otherwise you never will visit it, and it is no turistic and popular.
Also Gabriele made our stay a great one with conversations, indications, some coffe and a better prosecco!
The apartment is located in a recently developed area, and just some 6 minute walk away is Necci - Pasolini's favourite bar, with a Spritz and buffet for just 5 eur. The apartment is walking distance from Termini (20 min) and is well connected. However if you travel as a family - might not be the best option, but perfect for Bohemian party lovers.
I have never met the host, but the apartment was pretty good - a bit noisy in the mornings, but that's normal for Rome.
I spent a great time in this appartment in the heart of lively Pigneto. I was happy to discouver this neighbourhood which really comes to life around 6 PM (especially Via del Pigneto, with great terrasses where you can have an aperitivo!). The appartment itself was comfortable, the room is nice and big and the fact that there is a washing machine inside the appartment was very much appreciated.
This was literally a last minute booking, but we ended up getting a really good deal. Gabriele was extremely friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed. The house is located in a very interesting bohemian neighbourhood, and is less than half an hour from the main monuments such as the Colosseum and the Pantheon. It is also well connected by bus and tram service.
