aloha i am mele, i am a treehugger. :)
Location, location, location. We absolutely loved our stay at the Pipeline Lodge. Experience with Meleana was great. She greated us at the house, showed us around, and let us know we could get some fresh produce from her farm-which we did-on Monday morning. The view from the upper porch is priceless, we watched the waves rolling in every morning and night and the moon setting over the water. The place is nice, she keeps it in great shape, and it was such a great home to come back to after a long day on the beach. By the end of the week, it truly felt like home and the guys working the farm every day became our friendly neighbors. We even walked down to the farm one morning and got fresh eggs for breakfast-you can't beat that-or taking the bikes around on the North Shore path to see world class surfing right at your door.
The house is gorgeous. There's nothing quite like waking up at sunset in your beach bungelow to find dozens of the world's best surfers on the planet's preeminent wave. Not only was the location--right in the heart of the North Shore--completely ideal, but the house itself was a perfect place to relax after a busy day of adventuring. Meleana was responsive and super kind. I whole-heartedly recommend this place for anyone stepping foot on Oahu.
I lived on the North Shore 20 years ago. Pipeline is the best wave in the world. Its a heavy wave to get in and down the face when big, riding the barrel is the thrill. This return to paradise was exceptionally nice. Thanks Meleana for your awesome beach house. My wife and i live in Costa Rica and enjoyed our honeymoon stay at the best location on the North Shore. The back-room was were we sleep as the AC combined with the Ocean waves crashing was so pleasant. We had great BBQ dinners and morning breakfast after unbelievable surfs. Road bikes to Famous Teds bakery, chocolate mac pie is still the same. The shacks are less to be found as everyone built super nice new homes. That was the best part of this solar paradise is it was one of the original Pipeline house that Judd owns and kept really nice. Congratulations for keeping it real, such a great beach house!!!
Surfer Bar at the Turtle Bay is great, ask for GM Chris and he will take good care of you.
See ya next year with our two daughters!!!!!

I have told Mele personally, but I will SHOUT IT AGAIN!!!!!!! WE LOVED THIS PLACE.... RUSTIC, DEFINITELY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. DON'T RENT A CAR!!! USE THE BIKES.. MAKE YOURSELF RELAX AND ENJOY THE NORTH SHORE. I am a frequent traveler to Honolulu for business, but I generally stay in Waikiki. 8 days in this beautiful lodge made me relax. The even better point is my Wife, Daughter and Niece loved it. I will definitely be back. Don't forget to try the produce from the farm. We could walk to three great beaches. The beach across the street from the property provided more than what we needed. the lodge is centrally located so if you want to do some island exploring in a car, you can (everything is within 1-2 hours depending on traffic). We elected to just ride bikes everywhere. Also a key point - Grocery store and Ted's Bakery nearby. SHOUT ONE MORE TIME - LOVED IT!!!!!!
The Lodge was peaceful perfection. A great hideaway on a beautiful farm overlooking the ocean and right across from Pipeline. As others have mentioned, it's more charming country rustic than city luxe, which makes it all the better. Definitely one of those places you kinda don't want to tell anyone so that it can be kept a secret.
Great stay at the Lodge in Haleiwa. We had an amazing retreat for our company. The place gave opportunity for everyone who stayed over or come to visit us a splendid time to play, eat and enjoy each others company. A true retreat location!
We had a fantastic stay, the place was much needed soul food and provided the perfect spot to rest and recoup.
We enjoyed the beach, the snorkelling gear, the bikes and most importantly the comfortable bed and found the kitchen great to prepare our meals.
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Bright personal character
A wonderful location
We would like to stay at GREEN lodge again.
We spent a fantastic 5 nights in Meleana's beach house and loved every minute of it. My wife and I are former professional bodyboarders and brought our two young kids- ages 5 and 9 with us. Staying on the beach in front of one of the world's best surf spots was a real fantasy-come-true for us, and even for those that don't ride waves, the beach out front is never crowded and on small surf days, the ocean is beautiful. The bigger days provide plenty of action in the surf and you can simply sit on the back deck and watch all the action while having lunch or using the barbecue to enjoy a sunset dinner. Occasionally we could see whales breaching off shore too!
In the house, everything you need is at hand from high-speed internet to HDTV, and there's even a bed overlooking the surf, and a fantastic outdoor shower (we rarely used the indoor shower). Plus, anything you need from sand toys to snorkeling gear, to bikes, and even bodyboards are available to use. We vow to return for a longer stay next time around.

Mele is one of the most dedicated people that I know in everything that she puts her mind to. Her properties are beautiful and a stay at one of Mele's properties supports a greater cause here on the North Shore of Oahu. She is a leader with a mission, an educator in the community and has set so many examples for all to learn from. I highly recommend a stay at one of her properties, you will leave a better person :)
