The listing wasn't exactly as listed...it was better! Being our first time using airbnb we were not sure what to expect. Amy's house was very cute and had a kitschy appeal that we really enjoyed. The amenities were very clean and we felt comfortable as soon as we got there, we even used the bath for our toddlers (which is actually saying a lot).
Amy left some cute little toys on the bed for our girls, which they loved. The house felt home and lived in, yet it was clear that we were not just crashing at someones place, it was OURS. By the end of our trip we would just refer to it as "our St. Louis home". On our next trip there we will definitely rent the Adorable Bungalow if it is available.
We walked into Amy's house and instantly felt at home. We came in late and she had the lights on and candles burning. The home was lovely and well appointed. Amy was very easy to reach and answered all my inquiries right away. The house is situated perfectly for great Italian food and trips to Forest Park and the Arch. Just a 20 minute trip from the airport. I recommend this AirBnB with no reservations.
Amy was a great host and told us all the delicious places to eat in the area! I would definitely stay here again as the house was clean and had everything we needed. It was in a nice, safe location to walk to many places, including a delightful bakery. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in this house!
Amy met us when we first arrived and gave us a tour of the house. She made us feel very welcome and provided lovely fresh flowers and wine plus a St. Louis "gooey butter cake". We enjoyed our stay and it is the perfect location, close to all you need. We loved the large fluffy thick white towels for after a shower…it was a quite neighborhood which was really nice. Amy was always available for any issues that might pop up so that was nice. I would recommend renting this house as it was real comfy.
We had a great time staying at Amy's bungalow in Lindenwood Park! The home matched the photos and was uniquely decorated, creating a cozy getaway spot for our trip. The neighborhood was great, although we didn't spend a ton of time in the surrounding area. It's a great location and in close proximity to many attractions. Amy made us feel very welcome with some freshly baked cookies and dessert wine, kicking the weekend off right! I would definitely recommend Amy's place to others when looking for an affordable, cozy place to stay when visiting St. Louis.
The house was beautiful. We especially enjoyed chilling on the back porch and doing yoga in the beautiful backyard oasis! Amy was extremely communicative and even left us Halloween goodie bags!
Her record collection was fantastic. The neighborhood was lovely and extremely safe. Also, the beds were amazing (in all honesty, I slept better there than I do at home)!
How do I begin. Amy's house is just perfect. We greatly enjoyed our weekend exploring St. Louis, and this sweet little place was the icing on the cake!! The house was beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home, we felt at ease and comfortable all while we stayed here. The location was perfect (close to forest park and a short drive from downtown). I would definitely recommend Amy's house to anyone looking to visit the St. Louis area! We will be back!
This was our second stay in the bungalow and I suspect there will be more to come on future visits to the St. Louis area. I just wish the weather would have been better this time to take advantage of the front and back porches!
After the last visit I had suggested a small improvement to Amy and it was in place in time for this visit. Thanks!
Amy was great, and the bungalow is beautiful! The neighborhood was quite and there are several nice restaurants in walking distance which was great! Thank you Amy for the recommendations and making our stay comfortable and easy!
The house was delightful and just as described on your website. Amy welcomed me, showed me around, and had my favorite St. Louis treat, gooey butter cake, homemade! I get it every time I come to St. Louis, my hometown. The location was convenient for me because I could walk 1/2 mile to my Sister's house across from Francis Park in St. Louis hills, the neighborhood where I grew up. I stayed for a week and my son and daughter-in-law stayed with me two nights. We had a lunch on Saturday for my family and there were several places to mingle and visit one-on-one and well as to gather together in the dining room. I loved coffee on the back porch in the mornings and visits on the front porch as well. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to lots of things. I walked to Starbucks, where my teenage Steak n Shake was, and to Ted Drewes. Plenty of parking in front or on the side of the house. I slept so well! I plan to return on my next trip.
I was out if town for the duration of Amy's stay but we were in touch by email and phone and all seems to have gone fine. Happy travels Amy!
I have first-hand experience staying at Amy's "chateau" when she hosted me during a visit to St. Louis. She is a wonderful person and a welcoming hostess. Her house is cozy and well decorated. I highly recommend staying with Amy as well as hosting her in your home.
