PERFECTO!!!
We had a wonderfull stay at Stefano's Suite Anemone. Stefano is very helpfull and took good care of us. He provide us from milk, coffee, toast, jam, butter and so on. There is a supermarktet a few minutes away and the busstops are a few seconds away from the apartment. We stayed alomost a week in Rome, we bought a ticket at the sigarshop at the trainstation next to the airport. This ticket contents: a retourticket from the airport to Rome and a week for metro/bus/tram. It costs 34 euro. Stefano tell you excactly how to go to the st. Pieter and to the centrum. It is realy easy. You take a good discission to choose for one of the appartments of Stefano.
Stefano is a wonderful host who is very kind and compassionate to his travelers. He gave us great guidance as to sights to see, buses to take, restaurants nearby the flat which are fabulous! The pizza at the restaurant right outside the door is to die for! We would stay again without hesitation, very quiet, comfortable bed, stocked kitchen and Stefano gave us a lesson in making expresso!
I arrived in Rome with some delay and Stefano was still there waiting for me. We made a tour of the suite and he explained all of its features and the surroundings. Suite Ortensia is very cosy and most comfortable, exactly as described. You have basically everything you may need to cook, which I did quite a bit. Everything worked perfectly: Wi-Fi, kitchen, bathroom with washing machine... Every 7 days, I would get back to the suite with a note on the door saying that the next day; the cleaning team would pass by between 11am and 1pm. The bed was changed, new towels placed in the bathroom.. It was like staying in a hotel with the feeling of being at home. And it is really how I felt every time I would go back to the suite after a long day of touring Rome. Some people complain that the suite is a little far from the center of Rome... In my opinion 30-40 minutes to get to the center is not that much when you have the pleasure to get back ‘home’, enjoy your dinner on the balcony and have a quiet night of sleep! The bed is very comfortable and I slept like a baby every single night. Everything was perfect!
One little anecdote I would like to share... One day Stefano passed by to pick up an extra lamp which was not useful in the suite. For some reason, he felt he had disturbed my peace which was not the case. Anyhow, I ended up the next day with a bottle of wine on the kitchen table with a note, apologizing for having disturbing me the day before. This is, in my book, very thoughtful and the proof that Stefano is a great host and driven by customer satisfaction.
This was my first trip to Europe and I felt very secure in the apartment and the surroundings. There is everything you need really close by: restaurants, coffee shop and cigarette counter where you can buy your transport tickets and nice supermarkets.
I came back from my trip to Rome with a feeling of deep satisfaction; almost like plenitude. Visiting Rome is something you are fully responsible of; something on which you have complete control. On the other hand, you never know how it is going to turn out with the room location you make online. All I can say is that it has been a real blessing to stay at Suite Ortensia with Stefano as a host and I have already recommended him to people around me.
Thank you Stefano! You take at heart what you do and this is exactly what makes the difference! I have not been able to say goodbye personally, for which I apologize, but I do look forward to stay at your place again!
All the very best to you!
Valentina
Response from Stefano:
I had a wonderful time in Rome, and Stefano is a great host! He stayed up late to meet me, even though I missed my first train from the airport. Stefano tells me I must be the luckiest person in the world because I left my keys in my room a total of 3 times during my 2 week stay. They lucky part was that Stefano ended up being at the apartments when I left my keys! Otherwise, he lives 10km or so away.
Overall, the location to price ratio is perfect. Your under 30 minutes from the Vatican by hopping on one bus and only about 45 minutes from all the other ruins and sites in Rome by another bus. Most of the buses leave and arrive just outside the building, so this is a great location in that sense.
Wish Stefano the best!
Suite Anemone it is small and comfortable flat in Trastevere district of Roma. Clean room, bath and fully equipped kitchen with small balcony where you may to have dinner. The host Stefano was very polite and helpful for those who was first time in Roma. He gave us very useful instructions how to get to historical centre of the city.
Nice neigbourhood, restaurants and shops open to late night.
