I enjoy camping and kitesurfing
Came over the Christmas holidays. Beautiful view of the oceans - a 10 minute drive to Ganges. Very cozy cabin with wood burning fireplace that heats up the whole place nicely.
Lots of character! It feels loved.
My husband and I just got back from a 5 night stay at this beautiful retreat and we fell in love with the place. We ate breakfast outside on the deck every morning and enjoyed the sweeping views of the ocean and mountains. The cabin is nestled in the woods with gorgeous gardens surrounding it and lots of wildlife to entertain you (there were three deer who seemed to want to share the beautiful property and view too).
The family room had big comfy couches and a fireplace and widescreen TV that made for some relaxing nights in after enjoying the tasty restaurants in town. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and even a blender for morning smoothies. The master bedroom had an extremely comfortable king sized bed and the bathroom had a bath tub that was so long your feet couldn't even touch the bottom.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Salt Spring Island. It's about a 7 min drive from downtown Ganges.
Brad's place is a very stylish and comfortable house and we had a great time staying there. Also Brad is a great host - very generous and helpful.
The layout is very open and inspiring - cascading down the hill from the bedrooms at the back on the highest level to the kitchen to the living room and to a large deck with a spectacular view of the Strait of Georgia (looking south east back at Vancouver island). We especially loved enjoying the fruits of Salt Spring Island (Moonstruck and Salt Spring Island cheeses, locally grown and crafted wines, locally grown tomatoes and veggies) in the evening on the deck looking out across the water and sunset.
