We had a great weekend at Brad's place. The house was really cozy, the beds were comfy and it was great to have the fireplace in the living room. The place is located on a quiet part of the island and we really enjoyed the view from the deck.
We could not have had a better experience staying at Brad's gorgeous, quiet, sunny hillside dwelling! From the panoramic views of the nearby Sansum Narrows, to the cozy living room with two big couches and a flatscreen TV, to the jacuzzi tub (with skylight overhead!) and the sensuous wood accents connecting the whole experience together... it was truly a summer vacation to remember. A highlight was making Caribbean-spiced salmon with mango salsa over the BBQ while we talked and laughed over glasses of white wine... we can't wait to come back!
Brad is an excellent host; we thoroughly enjoyed his place, fabulous view, everything you need. Thank you very much!
Our family stayed here from June 27th to July 6th 2014. We had an amazing time! The house is so peaceful and in a beautiful setting. We spent lots of time on the deck overlooking the ocean. The house was very clean and well supplied. Brad was a wonderful host and was always close by and checking in with us to see if we needed anything. We will be staying here again in the future!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a great time on Salt Spring Island - and Brad's is a great place to stay. Lovely house, great views off the huge deck - and BBQ in style on the dedicated grilling deck, also with great views.
Everything was in great shape and exactly as described, including the well equipped kitchen and spacious living room, with comfy sofa's and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the ocean towards Crofton, in the distance.
Just returned from a delightful stay at this beautifully situated west coast home! We loved the privacy, the view, and the layout....perfect for the needs of 3 adult couples (my daughter & her fiance loved the "loft" bed). As we cooked most meals in, everything we needed was available, including the barbecue. The host, Brad, was friendly, relaxed, and there when we needed him. I will miss watching the clouds move overhead (skylights) as I soaked in the tub after a day of cycling, and a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the ocean......we hope to return soon.
Came over the Christmas holidays. Beautiful view of the oceans - a 10 minute drive to Ganges. Very cozy cabin with wood burning fireplace that heats up the whole place nicely.
Lots of character! It feels loved.
My husband and I just got back from a 5 night stay at this beautiful retreat and we fell in love with the place. We ate breakfast outside on the deck every morning and enjoyed the sweeping views of the ocean and mountains. The cabin is nestled in the woods with gorgeous gardens surrounding it and lots of wildlife to entertain you (there were three deer who seemed to want to share the beautiful property and view too).
The family room had big comfy couches and a fireplace and widescreen TV that made for some relaxing nights in after enjoying the tasty restaurants in town. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and even a blender for morning smoothies. The master bedroom had an extremely comfortable king sized bed and the bathroom had a bath tub that was so long your feet couldn't even touch the bottom.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Salt Spring Island. It's about a 7 min drive from downtown Ganges.
Brad's place is a very stylish and comfortable house and we had a great time staying there. Also Brad is a great host - very generous and helpful.
The layout is very open and inspiring - cascading down the hill from the bedrooms at the back on the highest level to the kitchen to the living room and to a large deck with a spectacular view of the Strait of Georgia (looking south east back at Vancouver island). We especially loved enjoying the fruits of Salt Spring Island (Moonstruck and Salt Spring Island cheeses, locally grown and crafted wines, locally grown tomatoes and veggies) in the evening on the deck looking out across the water and sunset.
