Hey, I’m Kaycee!

Austin, Texas, United States · Member since July 2013

My significant other (Jason) and I are nomadic by nature and enjoy traveling to just about anywhere the road will take us. Our lifelong goal is to see as many places and experience as many different cultures as we possibly can along the way. He's a navy brat, so has a head start on me, but I'm catching up quick since my professional life takes me all over the nation!
We like to change it up every time we go on a new adventure so we don't have a one-size-fits-all preference on the types of places we travel to or a specific criteria for the accommodations once we get there. We're as comfortable in a 5 star room in the middle of a sprawling downtown as we are in a yurt 100 miles from civilization. 99% of the time, if we have the opportunity to stay somewhere that is unusual or outside of the norm, we're usually the first to raise our hands because we love new experiences that you can't find on every corner in any city on the globe. We shy away from the 'package deal' vacations that are boxed and ready to go in lieu of finding our own special place that feels just right for the type of experience we have in mind. That's where AirBnB comes in, you just can't find the variety and options on a hotel focused website as you will from real people who have cozy little places tucked into great neighborhoods in areas you would have never thought to explore otherwise.
In our everyday lives, I'm a professional Director in the Advertising / Marketing industry and he's a handyman type that runs his own company doing home improvement and demolition work. We have four lovely children that we adore, but as you can imagine with the full time jobs plus a house full kids, we are a little overworked and need some R&R now and then!
As guests, we are extremely quiet, easy to please, clean and respectful of your property as well as privacy. We're way past the age of wild parties and will typically be out exploring for the majority of our stay, so you would barely notice we're around.
If you need to know anything else, just ask and we'll be happy to fill you in. Otherwise, we look forward to getting to know you the next time we're passing through!
