Elke and Roger were just the most brilliant hosts, nicer people it would be hard to find. Elke was very kind to offer to drive us into Norwich and fetch us back again.
The house is lovely and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast included home made jams and bread and was delicious.
Roger is heavily into cycling and rides some amazing distances (up to 600 k's at a time) and is a very knowledgeable and interesting person to talk to.
Absolutely recommend these Air BnB hosts to anyone. Thanks Roger and Elke you made us feel not only welcome but right at home

It was up to our expectations, excellent considerate host, delightful country cottage, garden and surroundings. Charming bedroom, great breakfast while watching wildlife.
We couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts in Roger and Elke. They welcomed us like friends of friends, and we felt at home immediately. The peaceful and cosy house, set in beautiful gardens, manages to be simultaneously in the middle of the countryside and very close to Norwich city centre!
Our lovely room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and the private bathroom has a great shower, with gorgeous shampoo and fluffy white towels. Breakfast – including homemade muesli, eggs from their own chickens, local honey, and homegrown fruit – was absolutely delicious, and Roger and Elke were unstintingly generous with their time, thoughts, and recommendations.
We didn’t want to leave! Although we were only visiting Norwich to attend a friend’s party, we are now quite tempted to go back. We would recommend Roger and Elke’s B&B to everyone.
Nice cottage near Norwich.Roger was very welcoming and
Cooked us a nice breakfast.
Confortable room with loads of maps to help in your holiday.
My wife Pam and I had a great time staying with Roger and his wife Elke, they were 2 of the nicest people that we met in England during our travels. The room at the keepers Cottage was large , spacious and very private. Roger was an absolute wealth of knowledge and had travelled quite extensively and for first time travellers his advice was very helpful and very welcomed. I very much enjoyed my evening talking with Roger about an extensive range of topics, he is an intelligent, well read and interesting person to spend an evening with, I regret that we could not spend another day at least with them both. He was kind enough to take the time to show us around his delightful garden and tell us a bit of the history of his residence. His directions on the website and over the phone were precise and very helpful in locating his place and finding our way to Norwich in the afternoon and for a meal in the evening. He served a delightful breakfast in the morning. Roger is someone I hope to keep regular contact with after my holiday and someone I hope to meet again in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay with Roger.
Keepers Cottage is a beautiful old home, surrounded by other beautiful old homes, old churches and roman ruins. The hosts, Roger and Ilka are nice people and they made me feel most welcome. I recommend a car as they are a few miles out of town, but I didnt have one it all worked out fine.

Roger & Elke have a beautiful place, with a log fire, lovely garden and fresh eggs from their hens. Very clean. Good breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, homemade jam and bread. Nice shower. It was warm they had the heating on. They are very friendly and shared suggestions for places to visit and eat out. Very relaxing and quiet place to stay. Thank you
Our stay was delightful, Roger & Elke were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. A glass of wine after a long days travel was a very nice touch.
The location and setting were ideal and tranquil. Norwich was only 15 minutes away yet their beautiful house was set in what was in effect the heart of the countryside, mystical!
We had a large bedroom with coffee and tea making facilities. A very comfy double bed made for a sound nights sleep. We only just got up in time for breakfast. This would have been a disaster as breakfast was sublime.
Breakfast with Roger and Elke is one of lifes finer experiences. A beautiful setting overlooking the extensive gardens and spectacular bird display as they danced around the bird feeders. Almost everything was home made or harvested from their garden, not sure if they didn't even go out to find a cow to milk.
I had home mixed muesli with fresh mulberries (gorgeous) followed by scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, cooked perfectly. Toast and marmalade (home made of course) with fresh coffee to finish. SUPERB!! Roger even gave us some mulberries to take for my daughter to try.
All in all a great place to stay and we look forward to regular visits in the future.
Roger & Elke are wonderful hosts - courteous, considerate, well-travelled, interesting and very welcoming. The house and garden are beautiful and the location is really convenient to Dunston Hall, a 5 minute walk along the golf course. The house is immaculate and the room very comfortable and private, with a bathroom for our personal use. The surrounding countryside is pretty and it is very peaceful at night, no traffic noise or machinery. The home-cooked breakfasts with freshly laid eggs were superb and they both went out of their way to look after us. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
Roger and his wife and friends are very nice and quiet people. The communication was fine even if there was a different language.
Roger just stayed one night. I only met him to check him as he left early the following morning. Roger's stay went smoothly. He communicated his plans well in advance and clearly.
Absolutely lovely couple. I would definitely like to welcome them back any time. They are both very calm, reasonable, humourous and intelligent people who enjoy getting on with life. They were such nice guests, you wouldn't even know you had them around.
My apologies to them both for forgetting the agreed breakfast time, thereby delaying their breakfast half an hour!! I would love to host them again
Roger was a fantastic house guest! Relaxed and friendly and very respectful of our place... check out his amazing place in Norfolk. Stayed at our place two nights with a non-stop 390 mile cycle in between... truly awesome! Loved chatting with Roger and wish we'd had more time. Congratulations on your amazing achievement Roger, do stay again. Julia and Paul
Roger & Elke were a delightful couple to have as our first Airbnb guests. They were easy to host & we chatted over drinks & found that we shared much in common .They enjoyed their visit to the Observatory after dinner & shared the experience with us enthusiastically the next morning.
We hope they have a great time during the rest of their visit to WA & highly recomend them as Airbnb guests.
a pleasure to do business with Roger
Roger was polite, punctual and very easy to host. He was self sufficient and we were happy to have him stay with us in our home.
