Tom graciously upgraded me to a larger unit on the property (#7). It is very comfortable and had everything I needed for my 10 day stay. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here as an alternative to a hotel. It is in a quiet and safe area and has easy access to shops, highways, and Highlands Hammock State Park.
The place is fine and just as described. The point I would recommend is to mention the house/street number with the address as it was a bit of difficult (at least for an European) to find which exactly is the condo. As an overall in very satisfied.
Everything on the listing was accurate and the place was great! I can't say one bad thing about the condo, it was a fantastic stay!
Host was fast and helpful
I sent my Mom and her best friend to Tom's place in the Smokies for a week as a gift. She wanted a place with quiet and trees and her friend Leah wanted some fun times. They got both. After about the eighth winery I began to get drunk texts about how amazing the place and Tom's neighbors were. I checked when they got back to town, and it wasn't just the wine talking. The cell service on the mountain was spotty was the only complaint, but they had each other for company(and several bottles of local wines). I forgot to get the condo number from Tom before they got there but even with the spotty serviced Tom had emailed me and called Leah within minutes of their arrival. Great communication. Great location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovley bungalow. The premises were very clean, and although the temperatures were between 85-95 degrees outside, the A/C kept it very comfortable inside. The pool was easily accessible right outside our door, and was extremely well maintained, glistening off the sun to reflect a crystal clear blue bottom. The neighbors who occupied the bungalows adjacent to us very friendly, courteous and ALWAYS generous to help us get oriented to the area. There are only two areas wich we feel need attention, but do not distract from an otherwise very lovley (email hidden)e sofa interior support was worn down, thereby making it very uncomfortable, and the bedding blankets were worn thin and tattered, both could use replacement and upgrading.WE DEFINITELY WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN,AND LOOK FORWARD TO A POSSIBLE RETURN NEXT YEAR:
It was very easy finding the condo. I have not seen Tom, but keys etc. was perfwectly ok. We even got a 2 bedroom condo whlie we made the reservation on 1 bedroom. Condo was perfect, evertthing we wanted was there.
Four of us stayed in the 2 bedroom condo in Gatlinburg for a week in spring and thought it was well worth the price and comfortable. Our biggest concern was the distance from the town and the windy road. It would be well to ask which is the best route to get there since some are better than others. Once there, one does not want to go back into town. This upset some of our group more than others. On the positive side, we did see a bear on the road going down. Interaction with the owner was cordial but minimal.
Tom's efficiency apartment was exactly as described and was perfect for my needs. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay while I was at the 12 Hours of Sebring Race. It is convenient to shopping and restaurants, the lakes, as well as the racetrack. The internet connection was great, and I have had many problems in hotels charging far more for a room. It was also very quiet. Perhaps the best part, however, was getting to know him, his wife, and his neighbors. They were extraordinarily friendly and I enjoyed chatting and having dinner with them. You would not encounter this in a hotel.
