I live in Milford ohio
We loved the condo! It was well-equipped and clean. My family of four was very comfortable there. I would recommend to anyone. Our stay in Fort Myers was better because our living quarters were ideal!
Tom’s place is very charmingly decorated with the black bear theme in this spacious and very clean 2-bedroom condo. I have been using my “maps” app on my iphone to navigate thru Tennessee with ease through Memphis and Nashville. It was useless and frustrating when it came to using it on the mountain windy roads of High Chalet. On my way out, I noticed my MapQuest print out with easier looking directions might have been suited this area.
The 9am checkout is something easy to forgot about since it only on the billing receipt and not included in the itinerary section of the airbnb. Also, I can’t remember ever having a 9am checkout.
The one page rules on the frig and the smaller rules by the air control panel seem so anti-bnbish. It took a lot of the charm out of this really wonderful condo. I get why you might have had to protect your lovely place after having previously rude guest but for all the other nice guests it leaves a nasty taste. Also, one of the directions gave an unclear message that led me to think I was suppose to take the sheets off the bed and place them in the tub. If that is the case, why is there a $79 cleaning fee?
The place is so charming especially with the low nightly price but the management aspect was not welcoming.
If you drive through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, there is a lot of traffic through this family amusement strip that goes for a few miles. I was not ready to be stuck in this type of traffic. It would have greatly helped if Tom Duncan’s description gave you a helpful heads-up on the traffic/driving directions.
We were three people -- a married couple and the wife's sister -- we had a wonderful time. The condo was beautiful -- perfect for the 3 of us. Convenient, nicely decorated, lovely kitchen. It is located quite far south of downtown Ft. Myers ... but handy to Ft. Myers Beach areas.
We wanted a place to stay near friends who were visiting Sebring, and didn't want to spend a fortune. We stayed at Tom's place and were not a bit disappointed! The park model that we stayed in was convenient to everything we wanted to see and do, and didn't break the budget in the process. We were minutes to shopping and dining and the attractions which we planned on seeing. We found the unit to be well stocked with everything you could possible want. Lots of pots and pans, dishes, glassware. A full size refrigerator and stove and microwave, also toaster oven. Nothing was needed to make our
3 night stay any more comfortable!
This was a really comfortable place to stay...much better than a motel experience. The only issue for us was it's location at the top of the mountain in snowy weather and our inexperience at driving in those conditions. Guests should be sure to bring grocery staples with them since it's a long way to a store. The view was beautiful and we would stay again.
The apt was wonderful, but it is a little bit hard to get there. cause it is on the mountain. But i love it and thanks tom very much for helping us out!:)
This was the perfect set up for the race weekend. There was a good community feel there (folks would wave and say "Hi Matt" when I would roll in or out). The place is small, but the pictures accurately show that. Water was (this was something I was nervous about...) warm, and facilities were fine. It is off the main roads, so could go for a jog at night, while also being still close to the strip of restaurants and malls/stores, etc.
We had a great stay in this comfortable apartment, from where we did some good hikes in the Park. Thanks!
Very comfortable and safe ... I would recommend it to anyone!
This was an outstanding experience operated with the utmost professionalism, warmth and courtesy....the park is beautifully maintained, the management was efficient, and I felt very welcome and safe...I would recommend the park to anyone who needed a place to stay in Sebring or Lake Placid....
