We are a couple in our 50s with two teenaged daughters. I am an environmentalist (Yale Class of 80) working on national and international issues from home, and my husband is a composer (UNH, Bennington) who works at Bennington College. We have family in France, have lived in France and I speak fluent french.
We live on a hilltop with spectacular 300 degree mountain views, with 57 acres of fields and woodland that guests can hike/ski/ snowshoe around as they wish. Our town has two restaurants, a food coop (grocery), a wonderful used bookstore, and craft gallery. Many more amenities (movies, theater , restaurants, more bookstores) are found in Montpelier - the smallest state capital in the US - which is only 7 miles away.
We provide coffee, tea and some breakfast goodies (local bread, bagels, butter, jam) so you don't have to shop before you arrive, and our local food coop - a few miles down the hill - has pretty much all the foods and beverages you might need -lots of them from local farms.
Please Note: We don't accept reservations from folks without a full profile and photo - so please make sure you've filled those out before asking for a reservation, to make things simpler. Thanks!
