Diane was a warm and inviting host. I enjoyed my stay! Thank you so much for your hospitality :)
Diane is an excellent host; she is very courteous and pleasing. Her room was perfect for my needs and it was extremely close to my work location, which was a good plus. In addition, she has the same coffee I use! I will be there again!
Decent sized room right in the middle of the downtown area. Easy walk to many shops and restaurants. She was very accommodating and I enjoyed staying with her.
Diane is wonderful! She is a very sweet and informative host, and told me about all the local restaurants, the bus stops, and some of the city's history. I really appreciated all she did to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The neighborhood has a relaxed charm to it, with several local eateries. The apartment is in a great location, only a short drive from Balboa Park and downtown, with a bus stop only a couple blocks up the road. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Diane's place during my San Diego vacation.
Diane was a great host that made me feel like home. She was very respectful of the space and honest with her listing. The neighborhood is great and close to everything. I would highly recommend anyone going to visit to stay here.
Diane was very accommodating and willing to stay up for us, even though we were scheduled to have a late arriving flight. Unfortunately, the late flight got delayed to the next day and we were unable to stay with her, but she was very gracious about our last-minute cancellation
Very nice cozy room with a big bed. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Diane is the sweetest host would highly recommend to anyone.
Room and location were as described. Diane is very welcoming and allows you to come and go as you please.
The bus to downtown is just a couple of blocks away and the apt is in the heart of charming South Park.
The accommodations are basic, but a super value. I would re-book.
Diane and her grand-daughter were great! They were extremely welcoming. She made it very easy for me to meet her and left me a key to come and go as I pleased. The room was clean and even had an iron to press my clothes. The neighborhood was great. There are some restaurants and little shops just a block away from the house.
I had an amazing time staying with Diane in her lovely home in South Park. Diane is a kind and welcoming woman, she was always quick to offer suggestions and recommendations, and also knew when to give you space. Her and her grand daughter (who was there for a few nights) were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable.
About the Room - The room itself is fairly small, but you have enough space to store your things and get ready. The room includes a small fan so between that and sleeping with the window open the room was always the perfect temperature. There is an outlet right by the bed to charge your phone and a small lamp for reading. The room is right across from the shared bathroom which is nice. Ditto to all previous comments about the shower's excellent water pressure.
About the Neighborhood - I can't say enough great things about the neighborhood of South Park. For starters it's very convenient because less than a minute walk from the house there's a laundromat, a 7-11, a seafood food truck, and the amazing Captain Kirk's Coffee. Do yourself a favor and get an acai bowl for breakfast. Delicious! A couple minutes in either direction you have your pick of great bars, restaurants, and shopping. I didn't get to try every place during my stay, but I definitely recommend Eclipse Chocolate Bar for brunch, Station Tavern for dinner, Rebecca's for breakfast (try a homemade scone!), Daily Scoop on Juniper for Ice Cream, and the Whistle Stop Bar for drinks. Another plus is there are two bus stops about three blocks away that will take you downtown in about 20 minutes. It's close to the airport as well, it was only a $10 ride during non-rush hour through Uber. The neighborhood is just wonderful. It's safe to walk at night and they have lots of community events (they had the four-times annual Walkabout while I was there) and they are very dog-friendly.
Diane was a wonderful host and the neighborhood was spectacular. You can't get a better deal than this in my opinion :)
Diane is a person of integrity.
The coolest with the most laid back attitude.
She is always happy with a big smile.
Angels are here on Earth and that is Diane
