I decided about 10 years ago that I wanted to go everywhere and do everything before I die. I was once on the way to an airport when I overheard an elder gentleman telling the woman sitting next to him that he was trekking across North America because he didn't want to be the richest man in the graveyard. His words have stuck with me ever since. Money comes and goes, but experiences stick with us forever. I love going on all kinds of adventures, especially the spontaneous ones! I travel alone or with friends, depending on the trip, and am very relaxed and easy going while traveling. I think it's important to be flexible because you never know when you're going to love or hate a place. I like to experience the authentic culture of the places I visit, so I tend to avoid the local tourist hot spots. My only travel requirements (besides my passport!) are smiling and having fun. Why else would we escape the routine of our daily lives?
