This is the first time of Airbnb in my own country. It's awesome!! Pete's room at Chelona is so gorgeous, comfortable and convenient. We love the pools fun for kids. The beach is clean and space to walk in the morning. We will think of your place first in the next trip in Hua Hin.
Great apartment. Very stylish and well maintained, large and very good to stay with a family as has one king and two single beds. Biggesy selling point is absolutely stunning beachfront and a nice restaurant right by the beach 200m away
Our time at Pete's place exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. Honestly, we thought the pictures didn't do the place justice. I'll break it down in categories:
Beautiful grounds, clean and tidy, maybe the best pool we've ever been too - shaded by trees, green grass area, overlooking the ocean, water slides, different depths for the kids. The ocean and beach were fantastic. Very few other guests made for a very quiet and restful stay. Felt like the place was ours. A great workout room with two treadmills, elliptical, bike, some dumbbells, and a weight lifting machine. Loved this all.
Clean, bigger than we thought, nicely furnished, second floor overlooking one of the pools. The beds were very comfortable. Pete responded to all our requests for towels, etc.
A couple notes for future guests:
* Appliances included at the time of our stay: a toaster, microwave oven, stove, refrigerator (rather large).
* No towels. We asked Pete and he helped us with that.
* No table (non-sharp) knives, but other cutlery, dishes provided.
* As mentioned in previous reviews, no WIFI in the apartment.
Everyone was very kind, very helpful, but virtually no English especially with the gate guards who tended to be the primary source of information and help. Communication therefore was quite a challenge.
Example of kindness: upon arrival, the guards unloaded our luggage, put it on a golf-cart and shuttled our things to our room for us.
Very little around the area. As other reviews mentioned, some small Thai restaurants, 7-11 within walking distance (10 minutes, along busy roads). Hua Hin is a 15 minute drive and the going rate is still 300 baht one way for a taxi.
There are a handful of fruit sellers along the main street outside the condominium selling fruit for fairly cheap.
I would HIGHLY recommend stopping at a supermarket (TESCO Lotus, etc.) before arrival at the resort to get needed supplies.
Pete was terrific. Quick responses and always happy to help us out.
We did not managed to meet Pete but he was always available over the phone and was very helpful. Towels and extra paper rolls were not usually provided but Pete arranged to have the housekeeper to deliver them to us.
The apartment is clean and well-maintained. Sheets and toilets are very clean. Kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, toaster and oven - we could make easy breakfast in the morning before hitting the gym and the pool. There is even a 3D TV in the living room. It will be great if there is wifi available in the house. Photos are exactly what we saw in the apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is a restaurant just right opposite the apartment gate and 2 minimarts.
The guards were amiable and helpful as well. Our car's bumper was broken as the lot‘s concrete barricade was too high for our toyota. The guard helped with dissembling the bumper and suggested a few ways to handle the issue.
As expected Pete’s apartment was a very nice place. Although the apartment quite hidden and not so easy to find at the first place but myself and my family were really enjoy while staying there.
The crews are very friendly and helpful. Not very good in communicate but action faster than the mouth. We’re very surprised that we found so many cooking pots. No Wi-Fi provided but that’s fine for me.
We find quite inconvenience that the guest room without a wardrobe. We can’t even hang up the towel after bath.
Overall we were satisfied and more than happy to stayed at your apartment despite all the issues. We definitely will come back again and I will recommend to my friend.
The appartement is very nice, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. But it could have a more cosily flair if there was a couch table or nightstands in the master bedroom. Also the WiFi is not in the appartement, but in the lobby or at the pool-gym. But WiFis does not reach in the apparent.
The whole apartment complex is very clean and tidy and we really enjoyed the time we spent there. Also the staff is very kind and polite. The pools are a great alternative to the beach, if it is too windy or too sunny.
Since the apparent is outside the city of Hua Hin it is very quiet and you really can relax at the pool(s), the beach or on the balcony. But to get in the city you either have to have you own (rental) car or you spend around 300 Baht for the taxi each way. -OR: You discover the very old, red busses on the main road. If you wave at them, they'll stop and give you a ride for 20 Baht you won't forget.
Communication with host was excellent ,responding very fast every times i had a question.Walking on the beach was great ,pool water was a bit cold and it was windy at times when we were there,(mother nature)!
Chelona is such a nice, cute place. We were impressed with the atmosphere and design. The room is perfect for a family of four with a well-equipped kitchen pantry.
