Some places are a good fit, and some aren't. This one wasn't a good fit for us.
First, the positives. This is a great place if you're vacationing in Denver and plan to see the sights and be out and about most of the time. It was reasonably neat, though the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned out.
It is a four apartment one story brick building with ample parking but little charm.
As for negatives, there was little effort made to make room for our three week visit. There are no drawers in one of the bedrooms, so unpacking was not an option. I went to Target and purchased some plastic drawers so I could unpack. A little space was given in one of the closets to hang clothes.
Our biggest problem was that we are on the road working, and need unlimited wifi, which became a huge issue. When we first arrived on Monday the wifi was on the fritz, and we did not get service until Wednesday. By the following Monday our host told us we had used 8 gigabytes of his wifi service and he would have to sign up and pay for more.Being as we were working in the city during the weekend, it seemed highly improbable that we had used that much. Without ever reconnecting, we then managed to use another gig of wifi overnight, so we unplugged the wifi router and were without wifi for two weeks of our three week stay. Again, not an issue if you are backpacking. We are on tour with a show and do all our business and communication through the internet, so it is a necessity for us to have wifi. When a place lists wifi and internet, we don't expect to be told upon arrival that it is limited service, and we will have to pay for overage. Just a bad fit for us, as there is no TV, only a tv screen attached to a DVD player, so all our entertainment comes through wifi as well. The house rules state no noise after 9 pm, as the walls are VERY thin, and we had a problem with this one of our first nights. Again, we are touring with a show, so we work at night and get home about 11 pm, and listening to music, etc. after 9 pm was a problem as well. Just a bad fit for us, not a bad place, per se.
Access to whole house
Good job man! Thanks for the help.
The place worked perfectly for what I needed. Fantastic location.
Private, safe neighborhood, and cozy. Great communication with host.
KJ left welcomed us with a bottle of wine, maps and great suggestions for places to go around town and a clean, fun, place.
I also appreciated a 'house guidelines' that KJ left. KJ communicates well and quickly responds to any questions.
The apartment was modest, clean, and tidy. There was a thoughtful basket of goodies, maps, and information about the neighborhood left on the table to welcome us. The location suited our needs perfectly.
Loved the (email hidden)aceful and convenient to highway, shopping and downtown. Sloan Lake is beautiful and has a walking trail. Neighborhood is charming. Loved the goodies, especially the wine and coffee!
Exactly what I needed! Place was clean, tidy, and cozy. Very nice neighborhood, safe, with easy access parking. Beautiful lake nearby to watch the sunset.
KJ spot is nice clean and as described. Communication was good and getting in was easy. Dog friendly is a big plus. Only complaint would be the wifi! To be honest he shouldn't even include it in the listing. Wifi never really worked. When it did work it was so slow I wished I haven't even used it. Other then the wifi it's a great spot in a great location.
Kj was just a one-nighter and we didn't meet face to face, but all interaction with him was great and they were respectful guests. Easily recommendable to others and we'd love to have them back someday.
