Hello my name is Mya and I am a Los Angeles native and a licensed psychotherapist. I have nearly 50 all great reviews for two years of hosting and Beware! I had one bad experience with guest Akash who stayed for a month and decided he had to leave a couple weeks early for work and never open my calendar so that those days can possibly get book. He demanded a refund for those days even though he got a discount and attempt to blackmail me by threatening to leave a bad review and kept harassing me for 3 hundred of dollars. I reminded my cancellation policy & because I couldn't get my those days rebooked. I'm a honest person and hard worker what he said wasn't true or right as a revenge he has no reviews so that says he can't be trusted. I have worked in several environments from background acting, modeling, administrative, to working in a neuroscience laboratory, practicing psychotherapy and teaching psycho education. I have a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology.
I choose to work in the psychology field because I discovered helping others with insight and mindfulness as a joy :) I also love to travel and find this opportunity to help and provide the comfort of my home to travelers as an honor. Some countries I've enjoyed traveling to several times include: Austria, Turkey, Italy, Mexico, France, Germany, London and Netherlands. I speak conversational Italian and Turkish and find it a joy to interact with beautiful people from all around the world. I also did some psychology training abroad and have several other countries in mind to travel in the near future.
I find Airbnb as an opportunity to interact with not only locals but with people from all over the world. I love diversity and the joy to interact with other cultures and with my travel experience I understand how important it is to be able to have a nice host.
