Excelente lugar!!
Had a great stay at Casa tranquilo. The place is very big, and ideal for large groups. Kitchen is quite spacious and common areas are really nice. Pool is also very nice, with some cool lighting to be used during evenings.
100% recommended, can't wait to be back.
We were looking for a small, quiet surf town with a beautiful beach and a laid back experience and that is exactly what we got. We stayed in a one bedroom todo bien, right next door to the Playa Negra Cafe. The staff at the cafe answered any and all questions we had and are awesome people to get to know, as well. Maria, our host was quick to answer any other questions that came up along the way over the AirBnB app. The todo bien itself was clean, ready to go with everything that we needed from kitchen and cooking necessities to towels, soap, etc. There is a surf shuttle available to many of the towns up and down the coast, very cheap, which is super handy for people travelling with a budget. The cafe itself, wood fire pizza and small, organic Cafe, all located in Playa Negra had delicious food. The surf was perfect for people of all levels. We had an amazing trip and highly recommend Maria and the surf cabanas for anyone.
Maria, Gaby, Dario, Willi, Silvia and Sergio all made us feel so comfortable, relaxed and definitely welcomed! Yes, there's a whole team of folks that made our stay simply wonderful. Paraiso Suizo is a paradise within paradise (Playa Negra) and we wanted for nothing.
This rural area of Costa Rica is a place like no other where surfers hang out, stories are told and people with genuine smiles walk the roads and beaches daily. Finding Paraiso Suizo in the midst of this already remarkable seaside village was the proverbial icing on the cake. While the surrounding area may still be primitive, our accommodations were top notch. Modern everything (including heated bidet) made our stay pleasant and worry free. The bed was very comfortable, the A/C cool and the shower just the right temperature and pressure. The pool and rancho (grilling and pizza making area) made for a great place to gather with the new friends we met during our travels.
With only 10 possible guests, the pool could never be crowded and wasn't. There are 3 guest cabinas holding 2, 2 and 6. And even with guests in the other cabinas we felt as the entire place was ours and ours alone. The grounds are immaculate thanks to Sergio's hard work and the wildlife abundant. There's a local iguana who hangs out on his favorite log, birds of every species and howler monkeys that make themselves known as the families pass through.
There are plenty of great restaurants, smooth and breaking surf depending on the part of the beach you chose and by far some of the most peaceful sunsets we'd ever witnessed. In the evening, the beach would host locals and visitors alike to bid farewell to the day as the sun eased into the pacific.
If you find yourself in this part of the world, get in contact with Maria Jose and have her book you a room for a week or even a month. Pura Vida!
The cabin has nice amenities and is very comfortable. It was further from the beach than I would have liked, about 10-15 minute walk. The beach at playa Negra is nice for swimming and lounging. Only experienced surfers could probably handle the waves though. Good little cafe with wifi about 50m from the cabin, otherwise the town is pretty sparse. Good cabin if you are looking for something more remote and away from the crowds of Tamarindo.
Paradise on earth! This place was the nicest place in my 4 weeks trip in Costa Rica! Everything is just perfect. Don Dario and Gaby are amazing hosts. 10 min. Walk to the beach. I'll definitively be back! Pura Vida y gracias!!!
Our group of 8-9 had an amazing trip to Costa Rica. Casa Tranquilo is a perfect house for a group or large family, with 4 expertly appointed rooms and one with additional beds for children etc. The kitchen, indoor, and outdoor living spaces were incredible and we really enjoyed the nearby beaches and the quaint town of Playa Negra.
We were extremely happy with the cabina! It's very quiet, literally in the center of town, is an easy, short walk to the beach, and was very clean. While we didn't get a chance to meet Karina, she was very helpful with any questions we had and was always quick to respond to airbnb messages. The cabin is really breezy with many windows so it stays nice and cool during the day. The food at the cafe is great... We can't say enough about this place. Will definitely stay there again.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine à Playa Negra dans cette maison. Sans voiture, nous étions à vingt minutes à pieds de la plage, nous avons adoré notre séjour.
