My name is Anna, I'm from southern California, and I'm currently attending Baruch's School of Public Affairs.
I stayed at Anna's place for one night due to a local event. It was a pleasure 'cause she's really a marvelous host and a polite person. I wouldn't hesitate coming back.
This is a very special place in a prefect location. The room was cozy, clean, warm and comfortable. Anna is charming, kind and generous. Anna's one rule is for you to make yourself at home. This will be my new home away from home whenever I'm in NYC. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends. Thank you so much Anna for sharing you home with me.
This apartment is the NYC artist experience-- it's in the coolest neighbourhood, it's close to EVERYTHING and Anna is so warm and welcoming. She keeps the place clean, all the laundry is done by the cleaners, and she'll give you great tips on where to go. I had the best time in NYC staying there and I will be staying there again. The cats are sweet and gentle and what's funny, I haven't found any of their hair on me the whole time. A major bonus!
I want you to stay here-- you'll have a comfortable home base to explore from that's conveniently located with the most gracious hostess ever.
Great host and great location! Anna was very hospitable and helpful with any questions I had. The place is basic (as Anna described), but the big draw is its excellent location. You're in the heart of great restaurants and nightlife and mass transit is so close. Very walkable and fun. Hope to return!
Anna is a very nice and accommodating host. Super easy to get in touch with her and simple process to check in. If you are looking for a room to crash that is close to the Village / Soho area - you should consider staying with her.
Anna was lovely and made me comfortable right away. The room was exactly what I needed - warmth, comfortable bed and just enough space for my huge suitcase! I'd definitely stay here again when back in NYC. The location is amazing and not a huge walk up the stairs like some other places. I absolutely loved NYC and I think staying her was a big reason!
The room is on the small side but the location is hard to beat. It's a short walk away from 3 subway stations that will cover most lines and an even shorter walk from the fantastic bars and comedy clubs that surround the area. Anna was a great host who put a lot of effort into ensuring the best trip possible. This is now my first option to check out if I ever go back to New York.
Anna is a great host. The flat is tiny, with a comfortable bed and it has a very good location (near metro station). Anna takes care about her host with some attention (cakes, sodas, wine). It's a good place to spend some days in NYC.
I stayed at Anna's place for 3 nights during Christmas holidays : the place was not totally clean when I arrived beacuse Anna was out of town, but she came on the second day and made everything to make a clean and cosy place to her hosts.
The apartment is small, don't expect a hotel suite, but you have bed / kitchen / bathroom (what do you need more in NYC?) and it's in the heart of Greenwich, the location is incredible.
Most of all : Anna is a super nice girl, we went out for few drinks and chat all along the evening, I'm so happy I met her.
Good little crash pad for young travellers !
Hey Anna, Genevieve and Michelle! Sorry we couldn't share more time before my departure (coffee, drink etc), I really had a great time while staying at your place, (and guess what, I won my court case! ;) Thank you for your help in all matters, and for letting me feel as I was at home, the best feeling one can have. Will give you a shout for sure if I travel back to nyc. Good luck with everything!! Best, Michel
I was recently referred to Anna through a mutual friend while I was looking for a place to stay between apartments in NYC. Anna is exactly the type of host that a traveller, or even a new local like myself, needs in the city. She regularly invited me out with her friends, even introducing me to some fellow Australians here. Since moving into my new apartment I have even met up with Anna and her social circle a couple of times, who are all equally warm and inviting as her.
My room in the apartment was clean and cozy, and Anna was very attentive in making sure I was comfortable. The apartment itself is in the heart of the West Village, with an abundance of choices for food, drink and entertainment at the doorstep. Washington Square Park is just around the corner and is the perfect people-watching venue! It's also a short walk to public transportation to see other areas of the city.
Anybody looking to enrich their experience in NYC would definitely benefit from staying with Anna!
Where to start with Anna?!
Back before airBnB and before her move to New York Anna used to be a (website hidden) host. For the unfamiliar this is essentially a good will accommodation network. A host offers their couch/spare room and expects nothing in return. I stayed with Anna as a young traveller making my way down the west coast and was blown away by her hospitality.
Anna is a confident young woman in her element as a host, she went to great lengths to make me feel at home while I stayed with her. She's both social and attentive, I tagged along on some of her nights out and she gave me all the information I needed to go out on my own adventures. Always busy, always smiling, every bit living the American dream with no signs of slowing down I can think of no better guide through the hectic world of NYC.
Her apartment in California was just the right amount of 'lived-in', I recently saw her pad in New York and whilst it's smaller I'm happy to say it has the same warmth. It's a shame New York is so expensive, I'm sure otherwise Anna would open her doors without cost. For accommodation with a real human connection you should look no further than this woman.
Highly recommended! See you again soon Anna!
