This was our first experience using Airbnb and we couldn't have been more pleased. The apartment was spacious and very clean (we actually arrived slightly before check-in time, but the hosts were very accommodating and let us check in early). The apartment was a hop and skip from the amazing Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and only a 5 minute drive to anywhere downtown with cheap parking (we parked at the garfield place parking each time, $6 max per day!). We also brought our two dogs with us, and they felt like they never left home. Great experience and great apartment, highly recommend it.
Priscilla and her husband were very friendly. They stayed in contact throughout our stay via the messaging system about check-in information, questions, and even ran toilet paper up to us when we arrived and found just one roll. The location was perfect for our weekend in town for a wedding-- about a 10 minute drive away from everywhere we needed to be. It was relatively quiet, despite it being 4th of July weekend! Street parking was convenient and I was able to see our car from the window, so I wasn't too worried about leaving it on the street overnight.
Everything else was very accommodating-- coffee cups, utensils, and plates for an impromptu dinner we made, Direct TV in the living room for a laid-back hangout, and secure wi-fi access thanks to the hosts. Extra blankets and pillows in the closet, hot shower with decent water pressure, and even a water cooler in the living room. All in (email hidden) to stay that was roomy and met our needs.
This was a very comfortable and private space. It was nice having a kitchen and we could often spot the red panda from the window while we ate. Communication from the hosts was great--before we arrived they warned us street parking might not be available because of something going on at the zoo and directed us to other parking.
This is a charming apartment in the PERFECT location if you are visiting the Cincinnati Zoo. The best thing about renting this apartment rather than a hotel room is that you can have family come visit you and hang out with you at the zoo, and then invite them over to your place for dinner afterwards. The apartment had everything we needed for cooking and serving, but after a long day at the zoo we just decided to order Chinese and relax in the living room until it showed up.
The neighborhood and the outside of the apartment looked a bit dubious, but once we entered the apt it was fine - old, spacious, comfortable.
Great place. Not far from downtown. Priscila was quick to respond to any question.
The hosts were very helpful, courteous and nice. Our initial impression when driving up was that the area was a little sketchy, but that faded quickly. It was safe to walk and run through the neighborhoods nearby, the zoo is RIGHT THERE :). The accommodations were comfortable (AC was cold). I walked to get coffee every morning through the gas light district. beautiful. great wifi service (I worked while there).
Centrally located in an older, gentrifying neighborhood. Very good communication throughout our three nights there. Not a criticism, as it is part of the architecture, but fair warning that the three flights of stairs up to the apartment are very narrow and steep. So, if you have lots of luggage, plan accordingly, and if you have mobility problems, you may want to consider someplace else. They were a little daunting after long days of walking, but added to the charm of the place.
We saw the tails of the pandas, and the field adjacent to the house was perfect for watching fireflies. Parking was readily available in front of the house, but fair warning you can't park on the house side of the street from 3-6 pm. That was not an issue for us.
This place was great. It was much bigger and nicer than I expected. I felt safe while there. I was in town for a (email hidden) of Cincinnati, and this place was a good walking distance from the conference, as well as only about a minute walk from the entrance of the zoo. The host was very accommodating with flexible check-in and out times.
We reallly liked the apartment and the location. The apartment is on the first floor of an older home that has been remodeled and updated. It was spacious and well appointed with everything we needed to be comfortable, and then some. There is also free street parking. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Zoo and a short drive to Clifton and UC, where there are parks, restaurants, shops, and the Esquire, an independent movie theatre. We enjoyed meeting and talking to Brad, who was helpful and there to answer questions and help us if we needed anything. We will definitely stay there again.
Brad and his wife were very pleasant respectful guests during their one month stay. Brrad communicated their needs and plans clearly both before and during their stay and they are easy going. They treated my home and other guests respectfully . Quiet and considerate couple who are welcome back anytime.
