HI My Name is Deidre Kay, I have lived in Bali for more then 20 years. I like to start traveling myself again so we have decided to offer our lovely home to you as it is truly a unique and wonderful place to wake up to.
The villa is what one will want in Ubud,in the middle of a rice field and real farmers working around you and a stream flowing next to you as you go to the villa. The place is open but felt extremely safe and the dogs were friendly. My wife who is afraid of all dogs was surprisingly did not feel any fear with them.
The staff were extremely friendly and plucked fruits from the garden for the breakfast! I can still smell the lemon from the garden. All sights are nearby. We walked nearby and saw nice temple and also met very friendly people. It rained one of the nights and as the master bedroom was open, we could enjoy the rain and the place felt air-conditioned. The master bed room is massive and seeing is believing. The open shower downstairs is really a pleasure. The wooden staircase and roof makes the place real attractive. We saw from the bed room, the sunrise and birds flying and heard kingfisher and that made our day.
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I LOVE GARDENIA HOUSE!!!! This was truly an enchanting and magical experience for me during my stay in Ubud. I didn't know what to expect when I first walked up the narrow walkway towards the entrance lined with a babbling brook and rice fields, but I was surely pleased. The upstairs room is a huge open space with 360 degree view and one side facing miles of forest and Ganung Agung volcano in the distance was breathtaking. Deidre was really accommodating, polite, and helpful with directions, activities, and restaurants which made our stay that much more delightful. I definitely recommend Gardenia House to anyone who wants to experience what Bali truly has to offer. I would stay there again for sure. Thank you Deidre!!
